Just how good has hadleigh Parkes been for Wales!!
Another try, another man of the match performance he is performing as well for Wales as he has done for us it's so pleasing to see.
Warren says he is the glue in the midfield and does everything right.
Congratulations Hadleigh!!!

Warren Gatland is obviously a sharp cookie, he just quotes what we Scarlets fans have been saying ever since Hadleigh arrived!

Perhaps Howley had a word with Pivac and told him that Parkes was worth a punt? Wink

Howley probably mentioned it when he was telling Pivac how his expansive, passing game was the way forward! LOL

Howley has made a real fool of himself with this expansive game that he's told the regional coaches to employ.

It begs the question of 'What's gone wrong Rob ? Only ONE of the four Welsh regions are playing to the style that you dictate.
What right have you to impose a style of play on a Region ? If a Regional coach is not having any success with the offloading game then he will revert to up the jumper and an arm wrestle type of game like the O's have done against us twice this season.
What is the Welsh set up doing to support this style that you want to see being played ? The only OH that has consistently proved that he can play this type of game has been messed about by you this 6N.
What are you now going to do about the failure of the three Regions, especially the one who is owned by your employers Rob ?'

I heard Howley told Pivac to go to NZ and pick up Parkes😂😂😂. It was all howlers doing 😭😭😭😭. That was after he told Pivac to adopt a free flowing, off loading, championship winning style of rugby

Centre Parkes was very impressive yesterday, and has been for Wales since making his debut in the Autumn!

I am sure that in the future we will look back and say HP is a Scarlet legend.

I really don't care.....In terms of Scarlets neither was Moon, Lyons, King, Finau, Hodges all club legends and all not Welsh. In terms of Wales, well if it were a case of know one else did it then I might give a damn, everyone else does and more so than us so what the hell, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Look at Ben Te'o he's still not sure what nationality he is, plays for England but judging his performances for them his heart is still in Ireland or New Zealand or Samoa or somewhere!!!

He was brought in to cover our two welsh internationals, one of whom is a 2 tour Lion.

I fail to see your gripe.

If you have a bone to pick on who qualifies for Wales, then take it up with Gats, and the team Wales forum.

The question people should be asking is why a player who was no where near getting a NZ cap, can walk into the Welsh set up and look like an accomplished 50 cap plus International after just a handful.

Parkes doesn`t do anything spectacular. He is technically faultless and just does the basics very well without mistakes. He also has a very good rugby brain and can read the game and play what is in front of him. Put all these things together and the end result is that it gives him that extra second that all the great players seem to have. Regan was another who possessed these attributes. It`s what sets the REALLY good players from the good ones.
In Pivac we trust

He is a top guy who has earned this success by playing great, consistent, reliable rugby. He came to play for his old coach not to manipulate a Wales cap. It’s been earned on merit, totally within the law of the game.

He has also brought credit upon the Scarlets for his success along with the other Scarlets.I am delighted for him personally in the world of professional rugby.
