What I meant though was what level of quality replacement could we attract to this area for that level of salary xx

I`ll be honest I don`t know Boynsmun. I`ve thought long and hard about alternatives to GJ and I can`t really think of anyone. Could it be better the devil you know?????

As for there being a "constant view" that GJ (and SQ) are "poorly paid"... that is absolute rubbish.

1. I agree, but GJ isn`t under half the pressure that ZP managers are under.

2. I`d speak to Rockchick about that

wouldn't mind being on 19 grand myself, average wage around here is closer to 12 grand I reckon, my wife works full time for around £11,000, I'm one of the luckier ones I presume (my wage my business!). This area is well below the national average for Wales, let alone the rest of the UK.

Can I have a raise to bring me in line with the national average for the uk?

Mr. L.E., would the wife be prepared to play fly half for £12,000?

would i be able to bring my can with me,if so ,then i will give it a shot.
Yes,I am back with a stewards view on things.

My initial response was in reply to boynsmun ( who replied to Mike) about the fact that a new coach would have to take us through a transitional stage and that we would struggle to "offer a decent financial package.

I don`t care what GJ earns or doesn`t earn but I do get fed up with this constant view on this board that he ( and SQ to name another) are somehow poorly paid. ZP clubs can afford to pay more and GJ is on a package which in Welsh terms, is a very generous one.

Perhaps he could earn more in the ZP but hes the manager of a club in Wales in an area where the average wage is about £19,000. I think you`ll find that GJ is on about 3 times that, allegedly. Now for South Wales that is a decent wage and is definatley a decent wage for a club manager of a team that only attracts an average crowd of 6,000 and who is under no pressure from his Chairman to get results and who will never get sacked irrespective of how bad he or his team perform. Nice if you can get it isn`t it?

who has said that they are poorly paid? most of the posts have said they could earn more in ZP. surely that is fact!

The stadium may change, but the dream will remain the same!
