Leigh has probably been one of our best backs so far this season
Think, think, think - it's a thinking man's game!! - The Great Carwyn James.

Main issue so far is selection consistency imo. Half backs have been different in nearly all games, back row different in all games, back 3 even diferent in most games and centres - Thinking about it, majority of the side haven't had a real run as a unit.
So after a break and pre season we have had all the following half back pairings (all off the top of my head):
Cawdor & Patch, Cawdor & Dan, Cawdor & Angus, Cawdor & SHC.
SHC & Patch, SHC & Dan, SHC & Steff Hughes, Hardy & Patch, Hardy & Dan

All the following centre pairings:
12. Parkes / Parkes / Asquith
13. Fonotia / Foxy / Fonotia

back 3:
11. Prydie / Prydie / Prydie / Prydie / Steff
14. McNicholl / Nicholas / Asquith / Asquith / Nicholas
15. Halfpenny / Halfpenny / Angus / Halfpenny

the glaring thing that is obvious is that there is no back bone at the moment due to departures and call ups and injuries. I don't think we can name 6 players that have started every single game. Is there anyone that has started every game so far? Blade and Ken are my only guesses.

We will get better as the season progresses as partnerships are reformed and new ones form.

we have really missed Fonotia past fortnight as up to his suspension, he was on fire and creating a lot.

This injury crisis wont last the whole season - I hope! - But it it is dig deep time. A trip now to South Africa may be ideal time for some team bonding - but - as we know, it will be a different line up again.

I agree , he has been playing so much better this year , Fonotia has also done well and a bit unlucky to pick up a 3 week ban in light of how other players have been dealt with.
Hopefully Steff Evans is also getting some form back as well.
