Seen a few forums with threads which track player movements between teams so thought it would be a good idea to start one here. Maybe the mods could make it a sticky and everyone else feel free to update and comment.

A few starters for ten:

Carl Hayman off to Toulon:
http://www.planetrugby.com/story/0,25883,16024_6044559,00.html - http://www.planetrugby.com/story/0,25883,16024_6044559,00.html
Money matters it seems rather than the chance to play in the next World Cup.

Same true for Tamati Ellison who has given up his chance to play for NZ to play in Japan:

Wikus van Heerde leaving Sarries for SA:

A few Gwlad rumours (I'm not vouching for their reliability....):

Blues have allegedly signed Bryn Griffiths former Scarlets lock and a prop I've never heard of called Tom Davies.

Yep I saw that earlier, Saracens are building an exceptional squad they've already signed: Strettle, Stevens, Tonga'uiha, Kelly Brown and Wigglesworth. I suspect they will have to let go of a few though, Haugton is a decent back 3 player who I imagine won't get much game time now.

If they continue with the pointless aerial ping pong take no risks rugby then they will have noone watching them. They have lost supporters already even when they were winning due to the dull boring rugby on show. its a pitty as they ahve some young good young talent. Will not be suprised if the they move young Goode up to 10 from 15, the boy is a class act.

Ospreys apparently sign up youngster Morgan Allen after the Dragons (his home region) snubbed him:

He's at Doncaster and having a good time there as well. I saw him when London Welsh played them earlier this season. He did say he's enjoying being there as he's playing regular rugby and the Nat Div 1 is a decent standard of rugby.

He did say that if the Scarlets come knocking he'd be home straight away but would also look at other Welsh regions as options as well. He enjoyed the Dragons but wanted more gametime than they were giving him.

Great guy, proper West Walian and great fun to talk to as well.

Very interesting move by Tonga'uiha who after Sarries announced he was signing for them has now made a U-turn and wants to stay at Northampton. Seems as though he didn't sign a full contract with them only a'Heads of Terms Agreement', whatever one of them is! The moral of this story seems to be don't announce new signings too early otherwise it could hit you in the backside. Maybe this is why we haven't announced anything yet!

Yeah I know he had. Why did he change his mind again? Was it to play for NZ or was there another reason?

I don't know to be honest. I presume he just changed his mind about leaving the Chiefs, or on giving up on a trying for few more NZ caps. He spent most of his time injured from there on in so in hindsight it probably worked out for the best for the Ospreys.

Scott Gray would have been a great signing 2-3 years ago although now I think he's a bit past it as he's 32. No doubting he's better than what we have already though.....

The Ospreys are being linked with Tuipolotu the Worcester centre as well as former Auckland Blues player Nick Williams, the galaticos are doing a great job developing past it Nz'ers Wink

Also, has anyone else heard the rumour that Gardener has signed for the Ospreys as well - its on ScumV.

While the Tonga'huiha affair was a PR nightmare for Sarries, they've more than made up for it by the day after saying Tonga'huiha was staying at Saints, announcing that they've signed a 30 year old Springbok loose head as his replacement. I wish we could work in the player market with such haste. No doubt they've offered him a lot of money....

Greg Sommerville is leaving Gloucester to return to the SH. Expected to go either to the Rebels or a reuturn to the Crusaders. Remember we were trying to sign him, it fell through and we signed Meeuws instead.

The Dragons have outlined their recruitment plans:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/welsh/8626066.stm - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/welsh/8626066.stm

They are looking for a scrum half, a 15, a lock and a no.7. Rumours are that Scott Morgan is going there to fill the 2nd row spot. Hoani McDonald is rumoured to be off, as well as Arlidge and Danny Lee so they will have a few NwQ slots available to fill the rest. Maybe RST to fill in at 7, they could also look at Liam and Barry at 9 and 15 maybe......

What a silly signing by the Ospreys. What was all that about? Good luck to Liam Davies in France. It seems only the Frogs appreciate him.

Flutey has gone to Wasps who have been threatened with a £1m winding up order by HMRC Hmmm.....

Duckworth has pledged to support Worcester if they go down although he will review resources. I suspect we could see a few of their more expensive players departing.

Looks nailed on that the Dragons are signing Scott Morgan and Robin Sowden-Taylor.

And both, I'd have thought, would have been realistic options for us.

I'm disappointed we didn't go for RST given that he would undoubtedly improve our squad and not cost much. The Dragons have more clout in the transfer market than we do.Angry

It mentions that the Dragons were linked with Richard Mustoe. I'd be even more disappointed if Mustoe is available and we don't go for him either. We are short of a winger (esp. if Mark retires) and he would surely come if we offered him a decent wage as he'd have a lot of first team rugby with us.

Yep, I'd have taken Mustoe and RST.

Sadly, the likes of RST, Morgan and Mustoe would be good signings for the Scarlets. Next year we need good ML players and these guys would help the team for that competition. No point in signing HC class players - this time around at least - as we probably won't be in it. We need to be in for this class of player...

I have to agree. I've always rated Mustoe. Ultimately, it comes down to money. If we could hypothetically get all three without breaking the bank then it'd be a good move.

mustoe would be a good signing, although we have two cracking youngsters, in dale ford and lee rees, who will fill in on the wing .

RST and Mustoe would be solid signings, although our second rows aren't up to it yet I don't think Morgan would add much.

That could be said for other areas. Cracking young full backs, centres, FH, SH, 2nd Row and hooker. But the only one who has made it near the first team properly on a regular basis is Ken Owens, because he has a seasoned experienced player to learn from. The youngster could do with the players mentioned to help with their development....

BBC Sport say Riki Flutey back to Wasps from Brive.....

There was also a story about Ben Kay possibly being off from Leicester to try something new... Worth a shout? He's 34 now - would Vern be just as good for another year.

Rumour on Gwlad that Hoani McDonald is leaving the Dragons to join the Melbourne Rebels. Again, yet another player who would improve the squad and not cost the Earth. The players are available its just that we don't seem to have the funds or the willingness to invest....

Has offered little to the Dragons so I wouldn't want the geezer. It would be money wasted. Even Sidoli gets in ahead of him.

Interestingly, Jamie Robinson is allegedly being released by Toulon. Another player who I wouldn't mind with us. Probably not the position where we desperately need to strengthen but would provide us with a lot more depth in the backs.

Yeah, I would NEVER have taken this guy because I don't like him at all, would rather see J back but seeing where we are now any help will do. It's also getting to the point where signing Czekaj would be advantageous to us and Czekaj is my most hated player so it shows where we are doesn't it!!!

Give gypo a chance. Think about it, we are bottom of the ML and no HC next season. Recruiting quality players to Scarlets is as about as easy as selling summer holidays to Beirut or the Gazza Strip!!

Well Corsi can look all he wants but I doubt whether he will find any who want him and even if he does, he's under contract with us for next year I think.

Mark Gasnier the Stade Francais back is interesting the Melbourne Rebels and the Queensland Reds:
