I paid £30 for a ticket for the Bath away game.
I’m paying £7 for a home European Quarter under YAFTS.
I bloody love this club sometimes.

I thought season ticket holders might have had the option to purchase extra tickets before they went on general sale.. I’m sure that’s what happened last time for the Munster quarter final in Stradey.

Yes. I remember everyone was encouraged to buy the spare so minster supporters couldn’t get them.

I know that the tickets for us as season ticket holders are on sale from tomorrow, but I did read somewhere as to when they will be available for the general public.

Can anyone let me know, as I need to get some for some friends who want to enjoy the PYS atmosphere.

The latter I think as on the Scarlets website it says

Season ticket holders can purchase their current seat / standing ticket from 9am tomorrow, Friday 26th January until 7pm Friday 9th February with tickets going on general sale on Saturday 10th February.

Decided to try first thing this morning as I was off, and I'm still on hold after 1 hr 48 mins!

I Think all the staff must be serving people at the desks, and nobody's on the phone, or maybe 1??🤔

I know there's plenty of time but I'm not giving up now though! I've come this far.....😮😂😂

Much as I love Dafydd Iwan singing Yma o Hyd, it was like torture listening to it for so long!

After an hour of Dafydd Iwan its quite enough! He doesn't even get to the chorus so you can join in because the girl keeps cutting in to thank you for the your patience and your call will be answered. After an hour I didn't have any patience left and have gone right off Dafydd perhaps I'll recover by the QF! Managed to get my ticket through the web site but failed on my wife's ST. Can't get through no more on web site and it is showing sold out which I'm sure it isn't but is really frustrating. My wife can't get through on her ipad because it shows site under construction which of course its not!Smile

According to what I was told in the ticket booth earlier 6.2.2018 is a mis-print. Its as previously stated. Which I believe is the Feb 9th for Op in people. 10th general sale.

Going to be Y Parc's biggest earner ever that's for sure. The home tie was massive. Bought my ticket today, still cant believe that we got out of a group. 5 years ago if you would have told me in 2018 we'd have a home quarter I would have thought you were delusional. Yet we've done it.

Add to this that we may yet get a home play off in the PRO14, gates on the up. Bois bach, we're motoring now.

With our budget we should not be here, no way. Credit to the foundations laid down by so many good Scarlets over the years. The list is very long and we should not forget the likes of Gareth, Huw, Stuart, Mark, Jon, Nigel Short and the many benefactors who kept us going through lean times.

For those of us who have been there through tough times, take some time to reflect and then get ready to have another crack at the Grail. Who would have thought eh?

What will the attendance be with the additional seats? And do La Rochelle get a % of tickets?

If not should all season ticket holders buy their additional ticket?

They get offered 25% max, think EPRC get 5% too. When you consider a third of 15k could be existing ST holders, the leftover amount might be quite limited.

Changing my e mail address isn't really an option. The person I spoke to on Twitter was really helpful. The system can only cope with one e mail address. Obviously these tickets can only be bought on line through a link which will be e mailed next week. I did state that it was advertised that if you had opted in (which I have) you are entitled to a ticket. My message is going to be passed on to whoever is dealing with this option hopefully something can be sorted otherwise I will have to join the queue on Feb 10th.

Got an e-mail from the Scarlets this evening as I'd opted in to those e-mail thingies. I can only buy 1 ticket in the 24 hour window we have! So that's no good to me, as it means I'd have to wait until the general sale to buy another one for my husband and we wouldn't be sat together then! So I'll have to wait for the general sale after all Confused

Snap, I've had the email but can only get 1 ticket. My husband and I share our e mail address and even though we have both opted in we are only entitled to one ticket which is no use to us as we need two.!!!

As season ticket holders, we should be allowed to buy more than one ticket during this period.

Posted By: Red Eye
Date Posted: 31 January 2018 at 10:16pm
Good point! We should be able to buy more than one each. I make the 100 mile round trip every home game but because I won’t be able join the queue I’m going to lose out to local people. Where is the advantage of being a loyal fan? Can’t this forum have a quiet word in somebody’s ear? We’re not asking to command all the tkts but an extra one for being a ST holder might have shown that the club cares about our loyalty?

Posted By: Mugwuffin
Date Posted: 31 January 2018 at 11:38pm
I don’t see why season ticket holders are being given the opportunity to buy an extra discounted ticket, to be honest. It’s fair enough to reward ST holders by allowing them to buy their own seats for a discounted price, but rewarding people for being friends with or related to a ST holder seems a bit odd.

I guess they chose not to allow ST holders to buy two extra discounted tickets as if most ST holders took up that offer there would be around 9,000 discounted seats (assuming we have 3000ish ST holders), and that wouldn’t make great business sense for what should be the biggest money spinning fixture in the history of the club.

Posted By: SA14
Date Posted: 01 February 2018 at 2:40am
Easy solution. The extra ticket is full price.

Posted By: 2ndtimeround
Date Posted: 01 February 2018 at 5:41am
I think it’s more like 6k season ticket holders.
The discount is negligible. I had £2 off a £38 ticket.

Posted By: gofer88
Date Posted: 01 February 2018 at 10:24am
I believe we have around 5500 season ticket holders, that would be 11000 tickets with a +1. Plus 25% of the ground needs to be available to La Rochelle fans (roughly 3750) and 5% to ERC (750).

This equates to roughly 15500, which is over our capacity, hence why it cannot be done.

Obviously it is highly unlikely all ST holders will want a +1 or that LAR will bring 3750 but it would be the mother of all errors to oversell the ground or to not be able to meet the offer of +1 per ST.

I'm not sure I agree with the 'opt in' ticket allowance as that has confused a lot of people and I don't agree that general sale is 2 weeks after original release. ST's surely could have been blocked out on the system for 2 weeks and general sale could have happened simultaneously. However, this may be to manage workload as we have limited staff to man the phones.

Think it's best they get the ST sales out the way first and can release all remaining tickets in one go, hopefully we'll avoid a repeat of the Toulon game where seats were double sold.

Agreed it has been quite a complicated process that has probably not been communicated in the best way. But its a good way of collecting data and allowing the team to market to more people to hopefully get them to come to future games!

As a season ticket hold all I care about is my ticket being kept for me. I cant make every game in the season , I miss around 4 home games a season but I still get a season ticket as I know that this is 1 of the advantages of being a season ticket holder that in the event of a home QF or any knockout game we get first priority. Friends come with me to the games quite often but choose to pay per game well its tough if they cant get a ticket for the QF now unfortunately as they choose not to be season ticket holders

Can't help feeling that the club has missed an opportunity with the ticket allocations for this game. I've no doubt the game will be a sellout which is great but when demand outstrips supply then the club is in a great position to maximise. Personally, I would like to have seen ticket priorities as follows:

ST Holders
Those who purchase a half season ticket for the rest of the season
Those who purchase tickets for the next 2/3 x home games
Those opted-in for the newsletter
General sale.

There's going to be some teething issues - the first home KO stage match where the season ticket holders have to pay for their ticket since we moved to y parc and it is probably just as well that there is a long run in to this game. A pro 14 semi (or even more so a quarter final) would have left no time for errors.

Or included the quarter final in a half season ticket?

Which would have not been fair to season ticket holders or would not encourage them to buy a full season ticket next year.

“I've no doubt the game will be a sellout which is great but when demand outstrips supply then the club is in a great position to maximise.“ Surely the way to benefit from this scenario would be to raise prices? Don’t think it would go down well on here but that’s how you “maximise” when demand outstrips supply. ?

The Club is trying to be fair to its supporters.

I just can't believe some on here who criticise the Club whatever they do.

I just wish some people would be more positive about matters.

We have secured a home QF in European rugby's premier club competition, despite losing our first 2 matches. Whatever the Club does is not going to please everybody.

Exactly .
They’ve honoured the deal with season ticket holders who were told they’d get first dibs at 1 quarter final ticket
Haven’t raised prices beyond Category A.
Been smart in attracting people to sign up for the regular updates (which may entice people to come to other games).

The only thing they haven’t done is give me free beer for life

When we played Munster in the last 1/4 final I'd been to all the pool games and most of the league games, but couldn't get a ticket for the 1/4 final as I wasn't a st holder and the tickets were all snapped up before I could buy.
I've had a season ticket since. Hope this will be the springboard for many more to become season ticket holders.

Tickets for 4 of us to watch a European 1/4 final have cost me £86 on the halfway line.
1 ticket alone to watch a weakened Scarlets team take on Scotland would of been £85 for not so good a seat.
It’s a bargain in comparison

Apologies for asking a question that may have been asked before, but with an expectation for high demand for tickets, are we looking at putting temp seating in front of both east and west stands?  Not just a case of getting over the magic 15k number with a min of 150 seats, but lets get ~400 seats in front of both stands?

Maximising isn't about making a short term quick buck. As you point out, the longer term effect of that would just be to pi55 off regular loyal supporters. For me, maximising is about trying to convert the casual fan that attends big one-off games like this into more regular visitors. Hopefully the rugby will be enough to achieve this, it certainly did for me back in 2007.

I'm not criticising the club in any way, just trying to be constructive. I think the club should be commended for the pricing strategy having resisted the urge to charge more and realising that a full house will be more beneficial to the team. I, like everybody else on here no doubt, would love to see Y Parc packed every week. This game possibly provided the opportunity to go some way to achieving that.

Agree completely.

People have been wanting better financial results and asking the club to be more professional off the pitch. This is all part of doing that, while not being OTT.

Well said RedZep some very constructive views. At the end of the day we all want the same thing and the new coming of the Scarlets and our heritage to open attractive rugby that we have been fed on and feed our children. It has simply been a joy to watch wherever it ends. Ymlaen y Scarlets Yma o Hyd.

After yesterday's stonking win for the Scarlets v Scotland, maybe you should have begged, borrowed or stolen the shekels to fork out for both!

Yeah that worked out well!!
TBH I enjoyed the game on TV and I haven't enjoyed actually watching the game at the National stadium for years. Lower tier is awful apart from the front rows, upper tiers it's like watching ants - I find.

I beg to disagree ! I was in the front row of the lower tier some years ago and the pitch was just above eye level, and I'm 6ft tall ! I couldn't see the pitch markings so had no points of reference. At one point I though Shane was about to score. When I saw that passage of play at home, he was only on the opposition's 10m line !

I've found the experience varies a lot - I'm not a fan of the AIs as it seems like basically a money-making operation, and the only one we went to this year was the NZ game - where a couple of drunks behind us spilled beer on my wife THREE times(!) before being ejected by the stewards. Thoroughly unpleasant.

The Scotland game, by contrast, was fantastic - a great atmosphere before the game, with singing by 'Men Aloud' and the male voice choir, and an absolutely terrific game. No drunks near, and although a small quantity of beer was spilt, it was on the floor, fortunately!

After the NZ game, I was on the point of selling my debentures in disgust - now, I think I'll hang on to them for a few more seasons, for the 6N at any rate!

The main problem with the Principality Stadium as far as I'm concerned is the number of people who get up to go to the bar or the loo during the game.  It's non stop mun, and really interferes with the enjoyment of the game.  One guy got up twice in one half to go out.  In all the time I've been going to games at The Parc or Stradey, I can't remember anyone leaving their seat during the game.

I'm not sure but you'd think maybe a 4 ticket limit.
I don't think there's gonna be a lot of ticket's left anyway TBH.
I've been trying to sign up for the newsletter for 2 weeks now to no avail so i'll be taking my chances along with everyone else on saturday morning.
I live in penygraig so i'm literally 15 mins walk away, i'll be there by 8 to join the queue.

Can anyone help me.

I have an old sign in email address to use the eticket service from the past but can't remember my password.  I've tried requesting a new password and been told that one will be sent to me, but nothing has arrived.  I've tried contacting via the web site but that link goes to nowhere.  I've tried re-registering but been told that my email is already being used.

Any tips on how I might access the online ticketing service?

My French is not very good when sober but I believe this says our friends in yellow have a 3,000 ticket allocation... Though they don't expect a big take up on them...
