Not that we will have any of our international props.

Why wouldn't we?

Samson and Wyn should be starting, no?

Both injured.

I've just seen, what a disastrous season.

Let’s keep it simple and just say Whitehouse is bad news for everyone as-is Adamson. The appointment of the three clowns to the Glasgow v Ulster was greeted with dismay by both sides.
Bad as the situation is there is relief that neither of the other two were in charge.

I wouldn’t have an issue with Joy Neville. I’ve been impressed with her.

Considering this is a European knockout game, I don't see why we can't get a referee from a decent, competent competition. Surely all the English ones aren't busy this weekend?

When you have three Irish officials doing the Glasgow v Ulster game and three Welsh doing the Osprey Scarlets game,it is quite clear how there could be a solution that wouldn’t cause any eyebrows to be raised.

Other than to save a few pennies I can't really see the logic.

Whitehouse has had a strong connection with the Ospreys. He's from the region, he's been a regular down there over the years doing clinics. A very close friend of Dan Biggar and therefore by association would have been friendly with current Osprey players and on first name terms with many others. Attended Dan Biggar's wedding I'm told.

So with regards to picking a ref for this one the Pro14 could have chosen someone who doesnt have such a close association with one of the two teams competing. That would have been a good starting point.

in fairness gowerton is as close to the parc as it is to the liberty

Not sure him being friends with an ex osprey player is a valid reason for him to not to ref this game

Nigel is from our region and on here  most people think he is anti scarlets

Even more reason for him not to be bias towards them then. People use the bias towards us for Nigel excuse so he has to favour the Ospreys.

Ken is a wonderful advert for the Scarlets but he is not a captain in the AWJ mould. AWJ is as adept at handling referees as he is at handling opposition lineouts. Both of these attributes could count against us tomorrow.

The best referee is the referee who has never refereed your team....

The worst referee is the referee who has refereed your team the most times........
