Apparently Leinster are not very happy about this, rumours saying that Joe Schmidt has told Carberry that he cannot be Irelands 2nds choice if is 2nd choice at his province.

Well playing 1 game all season at 10 seems to back up Schmidt's thinking. Leinster only have themselves to blame really. Carbery is a very fine 10 and Sexton isn't going to carry on forever. Bit of a lack of forward thinking it seems.

Will also be with the Ospreys on a part time basis.

no idea how there' sno conflict of interest there.
Where will he sit when they play each other!!!? What colours will he wear when they play each other!!!?  half each!!!? Where will he be when on match days!!!?

Cant see how it can work to be honest. Seems to be a passing the time type of move for him. One thing doing Wasps part time with Wales duties like few years back, Blues duties part time last season with Wales...now he's part time ospreys, part time dragons, full time wales - so wont be at the regions for about 12-15weeks of the season, will not be there for start of pre season...and the time he could be spending at one region is now split in 2.
I wonder if Dragons and Ospreys knew he would be doing both - as the news regarding Ospreys was pretty sudden.

But Im fully expecting him to take the reins at Wigan Warriors soon.

Cardiff Blues have signed a 'top quality' tight-head prop & are looking at a couple of locks & a back up to Nick Williams.

The Scottish Rugby Union have approached Wasps to see if it is possible for them to take Danny Wilson onboard as their forwards coach & cancel the proposed contract that Wilson has signed with Wasps.

And Smiler has signed a new contract with the Blues. It was a good weekend for 37 year hookers with Schalk Brits being called into the Springbok squad inspite of being retired

I can't see Wasps agreeing to that... it would greatly mess up their preparations for next season.

We'll see.

Confirmed - Danny Wilson will be new Scotland forwards coach, opting out of Wasps job: Shocked

Possibly raises more questions over why he couldn't be persuaded to stay at CAP, but he may have had a release clause in his Wasps contract that allowed him to talk consider international level jobs - even before he'd started work at the Ricoh!

He'll be a huge asset to Gregor Townsend at Scotland, but the SRU continue to splash the cash in slightly surprising ways.

I'm very surprised Wasps have agreed to this, unless (as you suggest) there was a release clause. It'll leave Wasps a bit in the merde now, looking for a forward coach in the off season, when most good coaches will already have signed contracts for next season. Maybe Dai Young will have to double up?

Finances at Wasps may also have been a factor - in light of latest trading results, it's quite possible that accepting a fee for Wilson's contract from the SRU, and not having his not-inconsiderable wages on the books for the next 2-3 seasons, may be a prudent decision.

Wasps increased their turnover from £21.4m to £30.9m during the first full season in Coventry, but still reported an operating loss of £3.8m after the cost of salaries at the Ricoh shot up by £5m to £17.4m.

The group that owns Premiership rugby club Wasps, who play their home games at Coventry's Ricoh Arena, has slashed its pre-tax losses, according to new figures.

Newly filed accounts with Companies House for Wasps Holdings have revealed that the group made a pre-tax loss of £3.7m in the year to 30 June 2017, down from £9.3m in 2016.

The documents have also confirmed that PwC, during its auditing enquiries, was presented with evidence which was revealed to have been falsified. Following the presentation of PwC's findings, the board conducted a review of its financial processes, systems and controls across the group. The directors have said this was an "isolated instance" and "consider that the measures put in place provide additional controls to prevent such an occurrence."

The group, which also owns the Ricoh Arena and a netball team, announced its turnover for the year, a rise from £30.9m to £33.6m, in December 2017."

Dai has never been averse to stepping in & taking more workload on himself, could be that he’s doing the same again – his bond with Wasps is strong.
