Ken Owens will be rested for Scarlets away trip for the final European Champs Cup pool game against Racing 92 this weekend, presumably so he can go and sort Brexit before the 6 Nations. Josh Macleod is fit to start in the back row, although it's not clear who will provide back row cover on the bench.

Jon Fox will captain the side, and Pivac says he'll name a 'strong side', but Rob Evs is a doubt with a leg knock and illness.

Something like...

Johnny McNicholl
Tom Prydie
Jonathan Davies ©
Paul Asquith
Steff Evans
Dan Jones
Kieran Hardy
Wyn Jones
Ryan Elias
Werner Kruger
Josh Helps
David Bulbring
Ed Kennedy
Dan Davis
Josh Macleod

Marc Jones
Dylan Evans
Simon Gardiner
Tom Price
??
Sam Hidalgo-Clyne
Kieron Fonotia
Ioan Nicholas

Pivac said Daf Hughes will start on the bench as backrow cover. I'd go with that team though. Would be tempted to start SHC not because he's better than Hardy just coming in to the international period where he will get game time he could probably do with some minutes.

Agree about Sam. Perfect stage to demonstrate to all his critics that he is the real deal.

Ioan on wing instead of Prydie he has never let us down and tends to score more often than not very underrated player.
She asks why i still can't answer. I guess its in the blood.

Don't really see why we've rushed to re-sign Prydie as we've got one or two home-grown players who are at least his equal.

He's very cheap - or at least he was when we signed him. Even a 25% rise will make him very good VFM
We're still still here, but I wish we were in an Anglo-Welsh

Prydie is under rated, he's a great player.

Solid and reliable and experienced and Welsh qualified and probably good financial value as well.

Everyone picked for the Welsh squad should play in Paris regardless of what position they normally play. We need to rest/ protect as many players who will be playing in the Pro 14 during the Six Nations as possible. If it means playing a prop at second row and a hooker at flanker so be it. If we injure Bullbring, Kennedy or Dan Davies in Paris we will be in big trouble in Dublin and Treviso.

Well said, we need to protect the players that have a job to do for the scarlets over the next 4-6weeks in the pro14. Some of the players selected for the 6 nations will probably be lucky to get some game time with Wales, so let’s play them this weekend whilst we still can.

Even Ken? He's hardly been rested often his season so far.... and hooker is a position where we have excellent cover.

Why not? If by playing instead of a player we will need for the Pro14 duty, so be it.
If Ken can't give as much to Wales because he is jaded, then Garland can manage him through the six nations instead.
