Herschel would take up a NWQ slot. Rather use that on a 2nd row, eight or a wing.

Bulbring, too, would be a time server on that basis.
Quite forgotten what the rules are. |

Come on Phillips is 35. No I liked the look of Janties too, but can't imagine we'd have signed him unless one of our three 9's was leaving last summer. Now could be the time. Won't say I'm not disappointed that LLoyd Williams isn't joining us, but either Phillips or Janties joining us would make up for it.

I think we have 6 NWQ allowed and 2 time servers although to be classed as a time server you need to be below a certain age.
For next season so far i think we have NWQ - Kruger, Asquith (played 7s for Aus), Fonotia Time servers - Bulbring, Cummins and McNicholl So we have 2 slots left, one of whom must be a back row player. There are rumours we might be signing a few more forwards too. I'm not sure how it works if a player qualifies half way through a season like Bulbring and whether they still count. |

Frankly, I didn't see why we would go for Lloyd Williams nor why he would want to come to us and have, again, the same situation with 3 very good scrum halves, just swapping Aled for Lloyd. It doesn't make sense from a financial point of view, we simply can't afford it. That's riches better spent in other positions IMO.
