What a good idea (or "da big oidea" if you're Alan Partridge). What albums would be in a comparable Welsh list? How about these for starters?:
The Alarm-Declaration
Man-Be Good To Yourself (anything by Man really!)
Anhrefn-Defaid, Skateboards a Wellies
Rockpile (2 Welshmen in the band so I claim them!)-Seconds Of Pleasure
Manics-The Holy Bible
Super Furries-Fuzzy logic
chuck in some Badfinger/Datblygu/Budgie/FFAF/Bullet For My Valentine/Lost Prophets/Dafydd Iwan etc and there's a strong list of Taff rock we can choose from.

My top 3 in no order:

1. Gorky's Zygotic Mynci - Barafundle
2. Super Furry Animals - Fuzzy Logic
3. Funeral For a friend - Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation

Outside of that I don't like much. The Stereophonics went downhill after their first album, as the majority of mainstream bands do these days.

I suppose McLusky, Feeder and The Manics should get an honourable mention

The most eagerly awaited Welsh album of all time, was the debut album of 'Meantime' back in 1994. Sadly they never made it to the studio. It all went wrong when the singer was arrested in Queen Victoria Road for inciting a race war with the gooks from the Jambo restaurant, and being in possession of a dark blue Harrington. Whilst the bass player was caught drunk and naked on Barry Llewellyns roof, wearing just a glove, which he claimed was musical.

C'mon Jase - that list isn't complete without Shakin' Stevens' Greatest Hits Wink
