They’re released by public health Wales each day or just type in coronavirus cymru, where the vast majority of the stats are shown.

For the first time in a long time every continent in the world is showing a decline in case levels this month, albeit from very high levels in some cases like Europe and the Americas. Data on the WHO website.

In Europe the cases levels are dropping, but not significantly. They seem to be staying stubbornly flat against what I thought ( from a distance anyway) had been quite strong set of restrictions across the continent. Germany, Italy, and Spain most notably.

It's almost as if there is a baseline rate of infection that restrictions can't push through.

~24,000. Slightly lower than the figures announced yesterday because they’re weekend figures (what’s announced on Sunday is the jabs given on Saturday e.t.c) but still above the daily average needed to meet the mid-February target.

Why is this spreading so much more in the richer countries? Is this mainly down to the flights? If so why the heck arent our airports closed? Especially with new south african strain?

May drop over next few days as 4 centres are closed today and tomorrow because of the weather. However, we've shown that high numbers can be achieved.

Many thanks to all those involved for your hard work and dedication.

I believe the above numbers were based on total population as opposed to 16yrs+ or 18yrs+

A different Covid stats fanatic on Twitter has the adjusted numbers for 18yrs+ as:

England 12.49%
NI 10.62%
Wales 10.49%
Scotland 9.11%

Vaccine availability appears to be the constraint which will hold us back. I understand the devolved nations are forbidden by UK Gov from publishing delivery schedules due to commercial considerations.

They are people vaccinated.

What’s the opinion on why case levels in Llanelli Bigyn are so high?
