I feel that Dan is really important to us now and deserves the credit he's getting.

With Priestland out of the 6n I worry (selfishly) that they'll call him to have cover and hold tackle bags.

even with Rhys Priestland ruled out Wales still have Biggar, Patchell, Anscombe and if need be Owen Williams at 10.

I would imagine Sam Davies is currently ahead of Dan Jones with the Welsh selectors as he has been in the squad previously.

With potentially 2 sets of half backs away with wales I can see Stevo and Mike Phillips turning out for us again !

Imagine Stevo giving Mike a call !

Mike says 'I will, but only if you will Steve' !!!

I forget how young Dan Jones is, but bloody hell, what a performance on Saturday. Nailed all his kicks and was spot on for the try (even if he could have learned from Hadleigh in the dive over the line).

He and Patchell have heck of a pivot going and their combination at 10 & 15 has been incredible over the last 2 games.

How do you revert back to Patch after this? How does Halfpenny get back into the team... What a dilemma!

If you're losing your soul and you know it, then you've still got a soul left to lose.

I and several others were baffled by Dan's absence from the match day 23s for the first two months of the regular season - as far as I can see, his first game this season was in November. Patch started every game in Sept and Oct, with Rhys Jones or Asquith as the bench cover.

Now, it's clear that this coaching team is very clever, and there must always be a good reason for these decisions - but what was it? Maybe they wanted Dan to have more game time by playing as a starting 10 in the Premiership? Did that happen?

Whatever - it's great to see him being given his chance, and succeeding in top matches. He was always a pretty cool and confident player with Wales U-20s, and that continues.

The coaching team wanted him to boss the backs. Dan apparently found it difficult to tell more experienced players what to do, where to stand etc. It was a work in progress and he seems to be getting that confidence now.

Really like Dan as a 10 and great to see him doing so well , in many ways we seem better with Dan at 10 and Patch at 15 , food for thought there but great to have options like this as we can't play the same team every week throughout the season -obviously one-off games like the quarter-final are different -shame that game isn't coming sooner as we are playing so well but hopefully we'll avoid too many injuries between now and then have a few more players back as well.
Still something to look forward to and a great achievement to have got this far already against the big money sides -they may have more money but they haven't got more heart and passion than our players or our fans

Dan has stepped up hugely in the two biggest games we've had in Europe in a while. At his young age and lack of european experience that's very very impressive.
