We'll see if he is in the team this weekend when presumably they will field something closer to the intended first XV.

Out of interest, what position did he play? He's exactly the type of player we should be looking at to replace DTH/ Sanjay, not regional players with dodgey injury histories

If there is a chance of Michael Collins coming back he would be great. A player in the Hadleigh mould which is praise enough. A stable of Mcnicholl, Steff, Tom Williams, Ryan Conbeer & Corey Bladwin will give us plenty of cover on the wing.

Collins impressed me when he was here - a very solid player, maybe a bit lacking in pace. He could do a tidy job at 15 if Jonny Mac is picked mainly as a winger - or they could rotate. Steff, also, is nominally a 15 though he seems to play wing most of the time nowadays.
I share no-one's ideas. I have my own.

Great news for him- there is alot of x-factor in the Blues team and Michael is a really good support runner- he may well score alot of tries.

Michael Collins played well today. Similar to how he was with us, solid but also given more space with the likes of Melani Nanai, Rieko Ioane inside him and George Moala and Rene Ranger coming off the bench.

Don't know if it's been posted previously, but according to close sources, rhodri Williams on his way out of Bristol. Several interested clubs.

Same again today against the Blues- his was the key pass in a long range try straight from the kick-off.

Not one of our Marquee signings but it was nice to talk to Jonathan Evans our ex flanker who was up in Cardiff at the Llanelli RFC Premiership game last Saturday spending hours before and after the game with the young  kids playing kids rugby . Jon was not a 50 Wales cap player but is a good guy and a decent player who didn't let us down when in our back row. Good to see him again and doing proper community work as well.

Josh Adams doing very well at Worcester. Good article. Recently scored two tries vs Wasps in a losing cause.
Can't help we missed a trick releasing him but I understand it was because we thought he needed more developing. He's a big lad and seriously fast as mentioned in the article. Hope if he comes back across the bridge its to us.

Watched Snyman play for Brive this afternoon he was absolutely brilliant. Comanding at restarts, carried well and as always had a bit of niggle. Looks to have bulked up a bit too.

Perhaps if we could have predicted how little impact Bernardo would have made Snyman wouldn't be at Brive now.
We will certainly need another second row  next season along with an 8 and a back 3 player. No sign of the second row or 8 in the Scarlets age grade groups, as far as I can see.

It isn't often over the last 15 years or so we've released youngsters who have made a big impact elsewhere.

However that's a trend that seems to be changing. Josh Adams, Jack Roberts and Luke Hamilton are all having big seasons in the Aviva. Owen Williams enters that category too although I realise we were outbid.

We depend on our academy to develop a sufficiently strong first team as we will never get there recruiting alone given the money in the game. It's a shame we couldn't realise the talent of these 4 at the Scarlets. IMO they would all add to our squad.
