Yes - Clive used to take great pleasure in 'crunching' Barry, whenever they played against each other!

Gee I forgot about Selwyn!! Wasnt he Gareth Ewards understudy on the Lions Tour NZ 71 and he still never got a cap. Thats the trouble when you have a player who never got injured.

It is one of the greatest injustices that Martin Gravelle, the best fullback I have ever seen(and a bloody good chemist too!), and Dai Fox were never capped when crap like Luc Evans, Alun Edmonds, Glen Webbe, Richard Diplock, Wayne Hall and Tim Fauvel wore the Wales jersey at international level!

Hefin Jenkins holds one world record that will never be broken: Most times sitting on the bench as a replacement without getting a cap. I can't remember the figure but it was somewhere in the 20s. 20 times you get changed, put the jersey on, sit there watching the game, think your moment has come every time the trainer goes on, then hand your jersey back at the end of the game.  And you never do get your cap so you have to live the rest of your life watching inferior players getting lots of caps.

If we had Roy Thomas (who also sat on the Wales bench lots of times) and Tony Croker in the team over the past few years, we would have had a far better pack. Hard as nails and never a backward step.

Yes no doubt Selwyn Williams and yes it was Chico, who was also the ###### who came and denied Selwyn his right full place against the All Blacks.

I`m tempted to agree with you (best line kicker I can remember) but I don`t think Kevin Thomas was capped either. Moriarty (Snr) put pay to that as I remember.

Of the players not mentioned as yet, I don`t think the late Carwyn Davies got capped either.
