Great shame about Lou. He really has come on a lot in the last couple of months and has upped his game tremendously with more grafting and carrying.
I know that we are building up some depth in the squad but we aren't that well off at lock at all.
I like Welch's athleticism and work rate but he needs to be complimented with a big bulky No4 ( like Reed). None of the others fit the bill apart from Vernon. I think we should start with him Friday night if he's in decent shape. When did he play last?
Wish we had the same depth at lock as we have at back-row!
It's a thinking man's game

Seen a Nige interview on the beeb where he says Joe Ajuwa is fit for selection, didn't sound to sure that he would play the internationals.

They've got to be on the bench at least for this one.

Good points. Lou's absence will also weaken the line-out, though Vernon can do a good job as front jumper.

Jonny Fa should definitely be in the 22, IMO - he has very good hands, and is potentially a very useful lineout option. I'd have him on the bench, and send him on if the line-out struggles in the first half.

Lou will be missed, but hopefully, Damien will be fully fit now, and IMO, he is THE most dynamic 2nd row we have, whilst also being very good at stealing opposition line-out ball.
Damian may be slightly less effective in the scrum, but overall, the pack will manage quite well against Leinster if he starts instead of Lou.

Damien is also suprisingly fast for such a big lad. Very useful.

Seems Leinster are also having their fair share of Injury problems.

It will be interesting to see what sort of squad they put out with the HC the following week.

This game is very important for momentum for us, but we must not lose concentration.

Jamie Roberts' effort was pretty poor for an international centre. Hitting around the rim is one thing, but he was lucky to hit the board with some of them! I doubt Jon's was too great either.

Daf was the pick of the bunch.
