Yeah I read about this a few weeks ago. Very sad news. Joost VDW is arguably the best scrum-half of the last 25 years.

Awful news. Best of luck to him.

Some people have raised concerns about the amount of springbok's who were in the same team together that have been struck down with neurological diseases. I'm not for one minute saying there's anything untoward but it does raise a debate.

V Sad news. The best scrum half since Edwards, an absolute joy to watch. The RWC ninety five squad has certainly been hit by tradegy, wasn't so long ago that Ruben Kruger passed away. Awful news.
Go ahead..........Take those banana's

A bit harsh on Chris Bridges there, Windell.

Fantastic player and extremely sad news about this illness. My best wishes to him.

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks the upper and lower motor neurones. Degeneration of the motor neurones leads to weakness and wasting of muscles, causing increasing loss of mobility in the limbs, and difficulties with speech, swallowing and breathing.
