Good win over a tough Newport side, score belies how hard the breakdown was and is testament to the huge defensive ability this current team has.None of them give up until the final whistle and top of the league is no more than they deserve. Emyr Phillips the only Scarlet released to play- team once again full of hard workers  with good fitness levels and a physical and mental toughness borne out of playing together in a settled team for some weeks. Clap

Damn shame if he is - both for the Drovers and for the Scarlets.

A solid win against Aberavon saw the Drovers extend their league lead (albeit with 2 more games played than many of the chase Smile).  Pete the Meat was again dominant in the scrum, propping both sides and otherwise assuming his customary position as first receiver at the breakdown for attacks in the Aberavon half.  He played most of the game at TH, but swapped over when we substituted a TH late in the game.  If anything, this improved the Drovers scrum which started seriously shunting the Wizards.  I don't know enough about scrums to tell whether this is because the Meat is a better LH, or the Drovers are developing a monster TH.

Pete WOULD have helped get the Scarlets more tries last night with the scrums on the Glasgow line - I'm sure of it.

I REALLY don't know what more the poor guy can do to be involved with the Scarlets??

Would love to see Pete play for the Scarlets...

he did the same against leicester in the lv. he came on off the bench at lh and destroyed them.

i feel he`s a better weapon there as he takes away the oppos cornerstone. great to see drovers doing so well, they are my second team. got a soft spot for llandovery due to taking a spin up there on the bike. west end cafe on a sunny sunday afternoon. ah yes!

Great win in front of good crowd. Three very well taken and constructed tries. It is a pleasure to watch such performances. Line out went well, the last time I saw it was at the Quins game on Boxing Day when it was not a functioning effectively.Wizards were perhaps guilty of underestimating the Drovers. Maybe they should have thought again- never mind our win is their loss. Good team performance from a settled, happy, high performing team of players- all knowing their roles, patterns of play  and offering support to eachother- very well led by Emyr Phillips.
