Deep in Antartica they are drilling through two miles of ice to reach an underground lake to take samples. All the equipment is sterile not to contaminate the lake.
The lake is half a million years old. Staggering stuff and bloody incredible.

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"

"All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us"

They'll probably bottle the water and sell it to the rich and gullible for $999.99 a half litre.

Can't believe this forum at times !

We're now discussing the size of drill bits !

What next ? Pork pies ? Scotch eggs ? Pasties ? Red sauce ? Should mushy peas only be eaten with fish ? Or is it ok to eat them with sausages !

You're very odd. Mushy peas with sausages carries a custodial sentence.

What are they looking for there Lofty?

Is it Omri's ' to feed the decadent and un-relenting hunger of the Western capitalist bourgousie' or are they hoping to find a new species of blind tadpole?

To find out if there is/was life of sorts in the lake. Bloody 2 miles of ice mun above a lake that once was like the Lake district in size. Its like science fiction but real.

As for grease Laddie it may be food degradable grease, but then again probably none as the ice could be a lubricating agent,

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"
