Agree, that's a very odd one.

I suppose the south walian pronunciation of "ear" is a little bit odd to others, if I'm being objective.

Doc I think a lot of younsters copy the football players doing the interviews on telly. I am of the age that remembers everyone saying Groovy and Gear I likes the swinging sixties I does.

Living in Cardiff, the one phrase that makes my teeth itch is when people say something like:

"He haven't got any"

instead of:

"He hasn't got any"

I've always wondered - do they actually write it down as they say it? If not, why are they saying the wrong word?

Like is far more annoying because it is used so frequently. I think it's down to the American TV influence but, again, things like this have been said before in the past about other fashionable words, dude.

I think the term 'these days' says it all. Every few years there's some words or phrases that's used lots. Off the top of my head I'd say the word epic was used lots for something good years ago and Does anyone say wew anymore?
