God, this never ends! LOLLOLLOL Shame Roger hasn't done the same, yet! CryCryCry

I can feel a song coming on:

"In the bleak midwinter, Welsh-rugby wind made moan,
Regions stood hard as iron, water like a stone;
snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow,
in the bleak midwinter, Roger just go."

"His resignation comes after the regions had called for a public inquiry as they published confidential information about their income from the tournaments they play in."

That was Sunday though wasn't it?  But this article also says,
 "It is understood Gallacher submitted his resignation letter last week. "

Surely this move is obvious? Gallacher doesn't want to be involved when Lewis starts creating new regions. SG wouldn't be able to support any move to bring Ponty, Neath and North Wales in and sanction the others out.

According to that report, he has resigned from the boards of the Pro12 and European Cup, he will still carry on in his day to day role as chief exec of RRW.

He still represents the four regions with RRW.

Yes, I think so. His day to day role with RRW will continue as normal, or so I'm led to believe.

Indeed - and had he stayed on in his previous role he'd have had to choose between the regions, possibly in exile, and the WRU through new regions.
