Good move for him. Less pressure and more money, English clubs rest players, as they have large squads, so only playing 2 games then a rest would be fine.
English clubs have huge squads so suits players like Beck. |

Not a player transfer but...
Matt Sherratt has confirmed he will leave Cardiff Blues and join regional rivals Ospreys as backs coach for the start of the 2018-19 campaign. |

Not a transfer, but didn't think it warranted a new thread.
There are rumblings online that the Dragons can't afford to pay Gavin Henson which, as he is on a pay as your play style contract is the reason he hasn't appeared recently. |

I agree, I seem to remember he was on the bench when they played (& drew with) Glasgow & with the match balanced they didn't bring him on. |

Apparently Gav has a hamstring problem. Why he left his other kicking options out is anyone's guess. As far as Jackman is concerned he has written off this season & much of his existing squad. He will be given a chance to carry on recruiting and see what he produces next season. A similar return next year and he may well be on his way.
If he does go what a wonderful chance that would be for Howley to show the World what a great coach he was!!!!!

BBC report - 'Harlequins have agreed a deal to sign Wales Under-20 forward Alex Dombrandt at the end of the season. The 20-year-old lock has been playing for Cardiff Met RFC while studying at university.'

If that is the case, and he’s not injured, wouldn’t it be worth a punt offering to take him on loan for a few months, he would bring a lot of experience and direction to our young and inexperienced back line. Whatever he earns in incentives would be more than covered should we win the games needed to finish inthe top 2 of our conference and get a home playoff game. Plus he probably won’t be cup tied for the European Champions Cup if required. |

And they're not picking Angus O'Brien, presumably because he's coming to us next season. So they pick a S. African full back who has just about the worst game I've ever seen a regional player have at 10, and and if he'd avoided any two of the many appalling mistakes he made, the Dragons would have won. Well done Jackman. I'm sure the Dragons have a magnificent future behind them.

It could be worse, they could have Howley there as their backs coach, now that would be worrying for a Dragons fan. Although if you believe what Howley spouts then I may be very wrong, after all isn’t he the reason why we are playing the style of rugby that Pivac and Co have got us playing and winning plaudits for.
