So the Manager is rumoured to be on his way this week then. Martinez has just delivered Evertons highest ever points tally with the same players that Fergies successor had, says it all.

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"

"All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us"

My thoughts are the thrashing by Liverpool was the final straw at the Theatre of dreams.

Far too soon - if Van Persie had played all season they would have been 25 goals more scored eg take Suares out of Liverpool all season and where would they be now?

put it into perspective here though.rvp would have to score all his goals himself as the rest of that side couldnt pass grandad in his mobility scooter, lfc have many many talented young players now.the reason alex walked was because he knew that side lacks quality and has too many old players. hansen said in an interview that his 1990 team was full of ageing players and that its taken this long to get the right balance again.anyone who believes man u will be back next season is deluded.no top level football wont let them attract the best as liverpool have found since 09

No doubt player power, with needless comments via twitter and the media has not helped David Moyes cause.  I am surprised a club of Man Uniteds standing and status has made this decision.  Appaling in my eyes.  this was always going to be a poisoned chalice given what Alex Ferguson achieved, but Moyes definately deserved more time to mould his own team.  I agree with Mundo, anyone who thinks Man United can win the title with a different manager is mistaken,  I predict a dark spell for the club, similar to the situation the club encountered after Matt Busby left, a massive shadow that took years to replace.

He was never the right man for the job  but once appointed i was happy to give him time however you can't take a side who won the league by 11 points to 7th in the league and expect everyone to say carry on regardless.

Also this myth about United not being a club who sack managers, they went through a lot between Busby and Funzo, just struck gold with them two really.

seems a bit harsh but when theres tens of millions
you cant replace the irreplaceable
man utd probably need to concentrate on finding the best man now as opposed to finding a fergie carbon copy, because such a man doesn't exist

even with mata and fellaini , moyes spent a lot less than chelski and man city
even spurs spent a lot more , but they had mr bales windfall

but ultimately results poor, these big game signings were hardly raving successes and he was unlucky to lose rvp too... no Europe was the killer blow.
he will console himself with 5 million pay off

whos next in line?

van gaal
jurgen klopp
gigs
carlos querez seems a good bet to my untrained eye
etc
