It's a reasonably smart move to take on Kooga not just as the kit provider but also to manage the replica and leisure sales ... Kooga, like BLK, Canterbury, and many other sports brands are owned by Pentland Group, who are also the main shareholder in JD Sports..
We should see a much better range of Scarlets apparel developed next year, and certainly more outlets showing the ranges. Our 'share' of the sales won't be as high as present, but that should be off-set by shifting more gear. |

Kooga produced my favourite Scarlets kit of recent years so happy to hear the news. Would love it if we went back to white shorts.

Everyone happy with this? The plainest, reddest shirt ever? To be fair, doesn't look like the finished articles. I mean, the Ospreys logo is merely a pin badge in a black t-shirt and the Blues kit is a polo shirt and jeans (which seems to shun all technological developments in the sports apparel industry since 1909). So yeah, I'll hold on passing judgement. I like it though. I like the way they have cleverly disguised the Scarlets logo within the shirt itself. Tactical? I reckon. If Scott is charging at say, the Leicester defence, they'll have to look twice to make sure Scott is on the opposing team such is the lack of a logo. Top work, sports psychologists. I don't think they're the jerseys the Scarlets and Ospreys will be wearing next season. They look like hastily branded off the shelf KooGa/BLK gear.

I was just thinking about how much this would change for next year, it looks like a generic red shirt with the Scarlets badge and BT stuck on. If it was that sort of red with a white trim at the bottom of the sleeves, white collar, white Scarlets emblem and white shorts, I wouldn't be to disappointed. I expect a lot to change anyway. As an aside, Scott looks a bit small in his upper body compared to the start of the season. I could be seeing things, but it shows how much conditioning the players can lose when they cant train properly. |

I hope they don't put a red badge on a scarlet shirt again.

By the time you throw on the Dyfyd Steels and Wothys on the back, and IRA, Castell Howels etc on the arms it will break up the bland plain red (I assume).

What's the point in having the Scarlets emblem in red on our shirts when it doesn't stand out properly? You have to look VERY closely at these shirts to see which club we represent.
