It's incredible to see a player leave a club like Leicester for us at a young age, we all know it's been going the other way the last couple of years. Probably signed for a fraction of what Snyman was on and probably confirms that Joe won't be with us next year.

Good stuff and bad stuff.

He wants a starting spot to move on his career and we can offer that. Joe had a starting spot but it seems money then got in the way with him and Mr Agent. We often dont appreciate what we have and what we can lose by poor decisions. Price sounds rangy at only 18st for 6' 8" tall like Joe so similar style I hope. He will want to kick on with us and he is Welsh eligible.
Sad re Joe but I suspect our door could not be kept open long and Price came on the scene at possible only 50-60% of Joes money. Happy with replacement and also for George Earles great words re the Scarlets -they were not PR'd at all re his sentiments. We move on!

This is a FANTASTIC signing if you ask me. 22 years of age, age-grade International honours for England U20's, and is coming from Leicester Tigers! ClapClapClapClap

If we've been unable to keep hold of Jo due to contractual issues and finance, then this is the sort of player that we should be looking at for sure! ClapClapClapClapClap

A big welcome to Tom from me for sure!!!! ClapClapClapClap

This is his Blog from Leicester:

"A graduate of the Tigers Academy, Leamington Spa-born Tom Price shared in England Under-20s’ World Junior Championship victory in 2013.

Capped by England in three age-groups, the second-rower had an eventful senior debut for Tigers in January 2013, starting the LV= Cup match against London Wasps but leaving the game on a stretcher with a neck injury. Thankfully, hospital checks confirmed no serious damage and, although Price missed the Under-20s Six Nations, he returned to the national squad for the World Junior Championship in France in the summer of 2013 when England won the title for the first time.

Tom played his junior rugby with Stratford Upon Avon RFC and Kineton High School, and represented Warwickshire through the age-groups. He also played Warwickshire District Cricket and won a schools’ county football title."

What pleases me more than anything this season is that we're announcing our squad and signings early, before the summer months! ClapClapClapClap How many seasons have gone by in the past where we're second guessing all the way up to season ticket renewal time......and beyond for that matter! Shocked

If anything, this might be the first year for many where we don't have a 60 page rumour thread running from May to September! LOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOL

Price is a good move for us, considering money we can spend.
Sorry for Snyman, but seems is all decided, he moves off...
No one knew Earle and Snyman before their move to Scarlets and now they are good regional players, staff did good work with team, the same they can do with new international project player like Price and Payne.
We are a development team, if you like or not...
