On the back of a poor season last year for all 3 scarlet feeder clubs, how do you think Llandovery, Llanelli and Carmarthen Quins will get on this season? Quins and the Drovers have lost their coaches, but Llanelli have recruited well. Will this spark a return of the Llanelli of old? Or will the players just wish that they were playing for the Scarlets instead of the RFC?

Watched the friendly against Kidwelly last weekend and some good talent in the squad. Nice mix of pace and aggression and the general standard was pretty good for 1st game. Ponty will test where they really are though....

Mart,
On that theme, how would you categorise the Bermuda Triangle?

Quins looked like they had compiled another decent squad and I expect them to do well. Richard Kelly is a good addition to the coaching staff.

Drovers - bit of an unknown, not sure how their recruitment/retention has gone.

RFC-look much better prepared this term. Last season was the toughest since the Regions came along. Felt for the players and coaches alike. Seems like the core values are back in place...needs the experienced heads to stay fit though...Keys, Ebbw and Ponty will be the key games.

Think quins will always be strong due to the funding they get from Castell Howell, players like Shaun Jones will have a big season for them!
