Better than usual spread of fixtures. Off to check the Ulster fixtures before I comment further.

I think the timings are a little better this year. There seem to be a fair few 19.35 kick offs, which is handy for a lot of working people. Interestingly Edinburgh at home to Blues on the same weekend as Scotland v Wales. If I go up, might be tempted to pop along as a neutral.

Hope the Sat 1935 starts are still good for parents bringing children.

The 19:35 k.o. may be a little on the late side for young children, but talents it is a pretty consistent time for the majority of our fixtures. Also it gives people a chance to do whatever else they need to do during the day rather than writing the day off for a midday match.

I like the fixtures calendar, difficult matches (on paper) seem to be rather evenly distributed.

As importantly, unless I'm mistaken we'll have two home games during AI internationals, against Glasgow and Leinster.
Glasgow and Leinster again during the 6N, along with Munster and Zebre where we will probably have some players back as that's not a 6N weekend.
That is very good.

Will any of our internationals be available for Munster?

These played a lot:-

Rob Evs
Ken
Foxy
Sanjay

These less:-
Jake
Scott
Cawdor
Aled
Patch

Might we see something like:-

15- Steff Evs
14- DTH
13- Hadleigh
12- Scott/ Owen
11- Tom Williams
10- Patch/ Aled Thomas
 9-  Gareth/Aled/ Jonathan
 8-  Allen
7-  Barclay? Cubby wont be available of he goes to Rio. Could well be McLoed or Boyde
 6-  Shingler
 5-  Bulbring
 4-  Bernado
 3-  Kruger
 2-  Emyr
 1-  Dylan

Too bad we cant look forward to a great opening game and being able to see our best players take to the field.

Don't see why they wouldn't all be available, the Munster fixture is 7 weeks away. Even with a delayed preseason they should be more than ready.

Munster will face the same issue after the Irish tour of RSA.

Don't think the 19.35 Saturday (or Friday) kick off times will be an issue for most parents. We have had season tickets since both our daughters were born. If they are babies or toddlers, they will sleep regardless, and once they are a little older they tend to enjoy later nights as a treat on the weekends - just need to make sure they have a little nap earlier.

Interesting to see S4C are now showing games on Saturday night instead of Sunday afternoon. this should be much better for those that enjoy a pint or 3 after the game but have to drive to work on a Monday morning.
19.35 starts wont be a problem for my boys as long as the rugby on the field is good enough to keep them interested (awake).

I think I'm the only person who's actually a bit disappointed with this. It's probably due to the fact that there's too much opportunity for this to be a dead rubber for what should be our biggest home game.

Of course, I hope I'm completely wrong and it turns out to be a winner-takes-all for a home semi final.

Fair comment but I think it's worth the risk. If it doesn't work out, then change it next year. At least they are planning the schedule better.
