I think there are a number of tries to come in this game. I don't know how we coped years ago with rugby scores of 6-3 or 3-0 being very common.

Ulster have got a fairly few good weeks ahead of them, next 5 games probably should all win, including 3 against Italians (Bonus Points)

Cant see us winning either of these games TBH. I would love to be proved wrong however Munster and Leinster have big squads, and both are on a roll at the moment. We will also taking on Munster after they have won at the Liberty, so their confidence will be sky high. You never know however.

I am confident we can come away with at least a win from one of those games and believe we will not lose another game after the Leinster game that includes the Ospreys at home. My only worry is that the WRU come up with a rule that stops our intl players playing but allows the Ospreys to play all their intls and get Faletau on loan for the game. The way they are helping them at the moment nothing would surprise me.

Fairly certain that we need 5 points as an absolute minimum over the next 2 games to retain any top 4 aspirations. We can really only afford to lose 1 more game ( or maybe 2 but get bp's in both and get some 4 try bp's in other games).
Ulster are clear favourites for 4th. |

Ulster could potentially get 25 points from their next 5 games. Munster & Ospreys away & Leinster home will give them a tough finish - lets say 5 points - their total for the season 73 points. We can get to 74 if we start collecting LBP's - Munster & Leinster & getting 5 tries against Edinburgh & Dragons. All to play for and anything more than 2 points from the next two tough away games will be a bonus.

I don't think its as straight forward as Us or Ulster as after losing yesterday we could both make the top 4 at the expense of the Ospreys, they still have to play Leinster, Ulster and Us. The initial predictions has them beating Leinster and Ulster which are no easy asks. There's also the European Cup impacts of fatigue and injury on all 3 teams above us, still a lot of twists and turns left this season I think.

How many released Ireland players did Munster (and Leinster) field at the weekend? I might be wrong, but it seemed to me it was quite a few... They won't have those players v Scarlets, and we only had two released intls, with one only playing 40 min... so the teams we face should probably be quite a bit weaker. We'll see.

It seems down to 5 teams for 4 spots, and in some way I wish the 6 Nations lasted longer.
I see the Ospreys as the team to catch especially is we lose both games in Ireland.

Mostly only the guys holding the tackle baggers were released. Same as every week. The week off made no difference. Munster had Ryan (prop) and Keatley. Munster will be weaker without Ryan. Keatley is a 10 and normally on the bench for munster behind Bleyendaal but with Sextons injury he is on the bench for Ireland. He played 15 for the first half and weakened the team. Conway far better. Leinster had none of the starting 23 released Only injuries to the Irish starting 23 will change the squad |
