90 plus minutes into the game, France trying to replace the French tight head.
Rob's comment to the referee 'makes no difference, bring it on' (to paraphrase the comment). What a performance from him! |

Rob was very good yesterday, both in the scrum and around the park

He was up against probably the best TH in the northern hemisphere in slimani. Well done rob. You saw the difference when smith came on. Not in the same league as rob

Both Rob and Ken playing for the full 80 is quite unheard of in the international game.
To hold their own in the scrum during the passage at the end of the game is a huge pat on the back for them. Barnes' officiating of the scrum was a bit circumspect all day yesterday, including the period at the end, in which I feel France pulled it down on more than one occasion. |

Unfortunately Barnes is one of those refs who, when he has something stuck on his mind he can't change his way of looking at it. Yesterday the first scrum went against Wales and that was his mindset for the whole game. Even when France should have been penalised

He was magnificent the whole game but he wrong to not object to the replacement. In claiming HIA, the French could replace the tight head but if it was a non-head injury, they would have had to take another player off to bring the fit TH back on. If AWJ had still been on, he'd have told Rob to shut up and he'd have discussed the matter at length with Barnes. |

Barnes commented to Francis after the 3rd penalty Wales were pinged for in the scrum 'look what happened in the first two scrums'.
To me that's a poor thing to say as it was France who committed the penalty in the 3rd scrum, not Wales. A case in point of a referee refereeing on reputation and not what he sees, |

Rob and Ken have pushed passed most other contenders for the Lions. Great campaign from both.

I think him and Warburton are our players of the 6N, and ironically one of our best passers of the ball!! |

It is a sad fact that the two best givers of a pass in the Welsh team are Rob Evans & Justin Tipuric!!!! Jiffy calling for our best players to be made better rather than being dropped is common sense. However to make players better you have to have a coach who is capable. I echo the praise for Rob Evans & Ken who have made the most advancement of any during the 6 nations & should certainly make the Lions tour with both in with a strong shout of making the 23 for the 1st test.

Not sure what guys like McGrath and marler are doing to be talked about so frequently in the media as lions tourists ahead of Rob, mako would be my starter but rob would be very much a consideration as a squad member.

Rob could be the first Lion from Pembrokeshire since Peter Morgan in 1980. I don't think there have been any since then.
