Lots of artificial turf pitches need to be watered, artificially or otherwise. The Merthyr and RGC players, not to mention the wider world is now much more aware of the issue.

Talk to anyone who's played hockey for any length of time. Bags of experience.

Apparently the Blues have to disinfect their pitch after every game to avoid the possibility of people contracting blood borne infections by means of cross contamination.

The WRU Are going to inspect the new Pontypridd pitch anyway. The "burn" like marks and bloodied peeled skin looked pretty unacceptable to be expected to play on. The players will be wearing full length bottoms at this rate to minimise the friction on skin.Mud and grass wasn't all bad news perhaps!

Personally I'm disgusted with the preferential treatment north Wales and Gwent are having over mid Wales, where's the wru's support for the welshpool warriors?

"FULL LENGTH BOTTOMS" are currently not on the IRB list of approved match equipment (except in the Womens' game). Even in Junior Rugby they are not permitted !

They can however be worn in training.
Herman Tours ... Still the best way to travel !

Thanks for that bit of information . We learn something every day on SF!Embarrassed I suspect what happened in Sardis Road was the pitch wasn't watered enough which is a learning/training issue so will be okay next time.

Coincidental that they play each other this week? Host and one of the teams from last week. Or am I overplaying the conspiracy theory?

Still, at least if it all goes quiet next time you're playing, or at, either club, you can always ask.
