Personally, I think Rob Evans deserves a Lions call-up , though it seems the pundits tend to prefer inferior players like Marler (who is only better at verbal abuse, not actual propping). We'll see. Agree with your other picks, plus it's likely Cawdor will make the trip despite late season form problems. Our other 9s, Aled and Jon, must be in with a shout, too - in better form than Cawdor! I don't think Scott will make the Lions, so he'll go unless he's rested, as will Jake unless he squeaks in. Samson needs a complete break to get his leg right.

Hopefully Jonathan Evans and Aled Davies will be selected as well, they'll be up against the likes of Lloyd Williams, Tom Habberfield and not forgetting Cawdor!

Was wondering about Jon Evs. Quick service, good tempo and has been involved in a lot of our good performances this season.

Tonga in Auckland will be a great occasion...huge Tongan community there. Wales should do well there.
Samoa in Samoa is different gravy. |

Cardiff have announced that Danny Wilson has pulled out of the coaching team for Wales tour, citing additional commitments to the Blues over the summer.
He talks about needing to cover the commitments of their departing general manager, Billy Millard, but I'd see this as an admission of a very disappointing season and an urgent need to put things right for pre-season & 2017/18, especially if the partial WRU take-over for redevelopment of CAP is happening. Team Wales would have benefited from a fresh look at the forwards coaching, so I think it will be their loss as well as, in the long run, Danny's and Cardiff's. No word as to whether he'll be replaced on the tour, or whether Robin McBryde will take that on himself. |

I had my doubts. Not sure that he will ever see a Welsh squad after his hand gesture out in Toulon.

I am very surprised that we have no back row players touring particularly as Cracknell has not been selected which must be because of injury. Cubby, Boyde & Shingler are without a doubt superior players to some selected.

Surely nothing to do with that , Ap Sior - he's just not from the right mould for Team Wales - they're desperate to cap Thomas Young, understandably, and Ellis Jenkins has been spoken about as Warburton's successor.
I mean, why would Wales want the league's top turn-overer who makes a nuisance of himself in every breakdown and pops up in the attacking line and who's also an Olympic medallist and committed to Wales? Beats me. Edited by NobbySosban - 09 May 2017 at 1:06pm |
