Congratulations to Ken, Jon and Liam. I think Jake can count himself unlucky as 2nd row is the most contested position in the squad. Under any other circumstances he would probably have gone. Rob Evans can also count himself unlucky as his performances on the 6N have been outstanding. Scott also may be scratching his head as 12 doesn't look that well covered if, as they say, Farrell is going as a 10. And finally, Samson probably needs a decent break for his Achilles to heal properly, once and for all. Appolligies to anyone I've missed out.
Only one team plays in red. (Sorry, Scarlet)

A few of our guys are probably on stand-by as there are almost guaranteed to be injuries. As the Wales squad will be over in Tonga and Samoa, a few may stop off in NZ anyway further enhancing their chances of a call up Smile

True.  I especially thought Rob might go to NZ.

Also going to offer congratulations to former Scarlet, George North too.

Good chance Rob Evs will go if any LH is injured.

Well done, lads.

Not wishing to turn this into a quiz but does this mean we've had eight B&I Lions since regionalism? Easterby, Peel, North, Steve Jones, Matthew Rees, Jon Davies, Ken & Liam by my reckoning. Is that right?

BIG congratulations to Foxy, Ken and Liam.
With the three selected, I wonder if we can have 100% success rate of having Test Lions. I am sure they can.
Llongyfarchiadau a phob lwc.

Gutted for those who did not make the cut but I am sure they are on stand by especially Rob Evans and Scott Williams. Ryan Jones and Simon Easterby made Lions tours and had very successful (Ryan Jones player of the tournament?) tours after being on stand by.

Just means you can count them out until after Xmas in terms of club performances

Fortunately Ken and Foxy are fairly well covered in the Scarlets squad and when Liam returns he is Saracens problem.

Is it the same with Liam as it was with George that he is a Scarlet for the first 2 tests and then a Sarrie for the 3rd one assuming he plays?

Move Delme to prop where he did win a Lions cap, and bring in R H Williams, but not sure if we have ever had a true prop.

I would also put Matthew Rees and Terry Davies in for Liam & Ken just not wanting to count your eggs.

The definitive list before today's announcement.

Barry didn't play for Wales after 1972 when he did his knee- probably an ACL which in those days effectively ended a player's career. Other Scarlet lions: Peter Morgan (who was lucky), Roy Bergiers, Daf James.... Any others?

Congratulations to the three on this years tour, particularly Ken and Liam who are on their first tour. And hard luck to all the others who had hopes.

Could play Scott as prop, he played there in Rugby League, and bring in Ivor Jones, (Gwyn's grandfather)

Stats again, but three countries play in the pro 12 only 1 in premiership and a few welsh. Not surprising at all sorry.
