we didn't let Liam go. He wanted to leave due to wanting to be closer to his gf.
He will not be on more money than Liam as he is on a NDC.
I am not the biggest fan of HP and yes in my opinion Liam is a better full back.
However, he can at times be selfish and tends to chuck the ball when he finally realises that he is not
going to score break the tackle.
The HP signing got the Scarlets mentioned in the English press. The signing was covered in the Telegraph and the
Independent.
Can you name another full back who was available that we should have signed who is of the same
quality as HP?

Apart from that try he created against the AllBlacks Liam has has not been playing his best rugby the last couple of seasons.

I'm not saying he isn't better than 1/2p but I don't think I've personally seen anything this year to suggest we've got the wrong end of the deal or that Liam is miles ahead.

Class is permenant and I think 1/2p will come good again.

We let Liam go and bring in Halfpenny, probably on more money. Bad bit of business.
Go away you troll
Well said Steff

A lot of dreamers on here.
Liam wanted to go? How many times have we heard that excuse on here before for it to be proved wrong. Money talks, this is a pro sport and with a new dual contract, liam would have been a bargain for us.
Every set of fans, from every club that HP was linked to was dreading him signing. That's a fact, go look around the internet. Mcnicholl and Steff are much better 15's for us.
You lot are just bloody desperate to sign anyone

Pipe down micro faux reporter.

It is public knowledge that the Scarlets matched Saracens offer for Liam.
I didn't think the Scarlets needed to sign HP. However, he is a statement signing. Steff has developed into an international class winger.
Why would you want to now start playing him out of position and reduce his chances of further caps. McNicholl has played well at fullback in the dry, but has looked a bit suspect under the high ball in the wet. HP will also tighten up out last line of defence.
If any other region had signed HP you would be saying that the Scarlets board lacked ambition.

After our final win,Liam tried to pull out of his move to Sarries,a shame he could not get release from that contract..

With regards Jonny and Steff agree there both greats fits at 15 for us,but Halfpenny a big signing for us !!

Yes indeed, fans opinion on a player is absolutely the right and only criteria to consider when signing or retaining a player.
Let's get Pete the Meat and big Joe Ajuwa back right now.

I find that really hard to believe, other than in an emotional moment or two
We're still still here, but I wish we were in an Anglo-Welsh
