That was a hell of a result considering the weather.

You have to be super fit to keep up with the way we continuously stretch the play...play blind so often....we didn't retreat in to our shells when we spilt a few...kept our shape, and Zebre started to tire ( inevitably).

Awful conditions, and in that context, a great win.

Good professional second half. Adjusted our play a bit to reflect the conditions and their defensive line, kicked behind them and it led to two tries. Simple reactive plays, very impressed.

Beirne and Boyde were exceptional at the breakdown, they dominated that facet of the game. Subs impressed yet again, Kruger, Wyn and Macleod in particular.

When the rain stopped in the last 15 we started playing a bit more and put some great facets of play together. Our handling skills are top drawer at times, great offload and awareness for the final try.

Clinical & Ruthless. There was a time we'd take our foot off the gas at 25 points to 3
We're still still here, but I wish we were in an Anglo-Welsh

For anyone vaguely interested, the teams would currently be in this order if there were no conferences:

1. Scarlets
2. Munster
3. Leinster
4. Ulster
5. Edinburgh
6. Glasgow
7. Connacht
8. Ospreys
9. Treviso
10. Blues
11. Zebre
12. Dragons
13. Cheetahs
14. Kings

We didn't play the most sensible gameplan, and I think we need to work on our tight game at some point as others teams will do better in that weather, but 41 points scored on a flthy night is great going. We're nowhere near where we can be, but still very good to watch.

Ulster away is very interesting.

Injuries, injuries..
Without too many we're clearly a top 3 team in that company.

Bulbring impressed me. Good work rate. Building a decent stable in the row.

The ball didn't get to Steff as much as it usually does, but you just can't keep the fella out of the game..loved the way he muscled his way to get on to Cawdors chip kick.

In Steff & Jonny we have two very potent attacking weapons. Asquith also looks a decent footballer who is going to be an important squad member. Bulbring seems to have improved since early last season, he appears more mobile with better handling skills. Perhaps the form of Beirne has thrown down the challenge.

First real test next week. Studying Ulster they seem a little lightweight in the front 5 with Diack playing 2nd row. Their front row looks a bit flaky. They have a good back row with Coetzee & Desel but are struggling a bit at half back. Their back 5 will be a good test for our lads but I feel we can win it in the front 5 and 9-10.

A very good win in those conditions... not surprisingly, there were some handling errors, but Scarlets kept on playing... our ability to keep the ball for long periods is really impressive.

Apparently, the official MoM was Cawdor - he had a decent game (as did everyone), but I'd have given it to one of Beirne, Mcnicholl or Steff, who kept on roaming to look for the ball... something the bigger Wales wings are not so good at.

Ref had a slightly odd game, mostly correct decisions but clueless at the scrum where Rob had their TH in his pocket all night - for his pains, he was penalised for taking the scrum down (he was still on his feet, their 3 was flat on the ground!) and the pack when Rob pushed his guy backwards 3 yards while Samson was fighting a draw on the other side - 'wheeling', FFS! The Scarlets pushed straight, but their 3 caved - end of. On the third occasion, he tried to penalise Rob again until Lacey (of all people) put him straight.

His other blind spot concerned kick-offs - their guys were often 2 yards or more in front of the ball! How can refs and assistants miss that? They have nothing else to watch, as the ball is being kicked. I've seen plenty worse, though. (Last week's ref was excellent, BTW.)

Indeed - we can't afford to lose too many of our back row, even though we have strength in depth there!

Were you there, then? TBF, on TV 'Scarlets' chants could be clearly heard at times... well done to the travelling supporters!
