Really interesting team with good impact players from the bench...I think Toulon dont want to play a high pace game they can suffer our attack, but with player like Cawdor and Ken we can change the match on course...the great difficoult could arrive from their centres who will play for Ashtons runs...a massive defensive performance we need and surely a defensive bonus point could be an excellent result, of course all can happen....come on Scarlets!!

Yes I can see the thinking behind the starting 15 albeit Beirne did not look that at ease at eight against the Ospreys.

Ryan has a chance of influencing the Welsh Selectors.

Something for Aled to think about as well

Big pack, can we stop their monsters from running the game? Also it seems that Scott has been given the job of keeping an eye on Basteraud and leading from the front.

Its a huge challenge, and a win would be one of our greatest ever away from home.

Good luck boys, we're all behind you. Scaarlets...Scaarlets.....

Dispite the 8 on his back, he packed down at blindside in the scrums (or atleast when I was paying attention to it) against the Ospreys, with Boyde in the No.8 position.

I doubt if many teams taking part in the European Champions Cup will have a higher proportion of home grown players in the starting XV than the Scarlets which if we progress will make our achievements even more remarkable.
There are also 7 Welsh Speakers in that XV, as are two of the coaches.

Rawlins starting at lock. Plus, I believe 3 of Connacht tries came from Macleod miss tackles.

I like the team, the extra size of Beirne to help match to the way they will play.

Aled has excellent service to speed the game up...well thought out...

The quality of that Toulon side and being able to leave players like Vermeulen, Fekitoa, Habana, Pieterson, McAllister, Manoa!

Think Rawlins gets the call over Bulbring for the chop tackles on the big ball carriers.  Boyde and Beirne to pillage the breakdown (hopefully).  Need to starve them of possession and keep the ball in play to tire them out.
