13 in squad no Scott--a bit harsh, we will struggle in South Africa so we must now win against Cardiff, and put as strong a side as we can against Treviso and hope their squad will be depleted.

Could go 6 games without winning if we loose this weekend, just shows how important the Cardiff game is.

Cheers Dai. I've locked the other one to avoid confusion.

much as I like hadleigh that is a massive kick in the teeth for a welsh born player who has saved wales's bacon on more than one occasion.

I can understand Roberts, Charteris and Sam D ommissions, bit tough on Scott.  Our gain I suppose!
We are really light at half back and front row now, Asquith, Dan Jones and Gardiner to step up.

Could be worse I guess.

Feeling a little suspicious/cynical.  Is there a connection between the Blues retention of Seb Davies and his call-up?

So I would hazard a guess at this being Wales starting XV (strongest):

Rob Evans
Ken Owens
Samson Lee
Alun Wyn Jones
Jake Ball/Seb Davies
Aaron Shingler
Justin Tipuric
Taulupe Faletau
Rhys Webb
Dan Biggar
Steff Evans
Owen Williams
Jon Davies
Leigh Halfpenny
Liam Williams

Player release during the Autumn is not going to help us, as we're in South Africa for both matches.

I think it's unlikely they'll release players in time for them to travel out with us.

My best guess for our team:

Johnny
Prydie
Morgan Wms
Steff Hughes
Scott
Asquith
Jonathan
Macleod
Boyde
Rawlins
Beirne
Bullbring
Kruger
Elias
Dylan

A little bit surprising being Hadleigh isn't available until the last AI (?) and disappointing for Scott.
Although Scott hasn't been at his very best this season this will be an incentive for him to show what he can do and that Gatland has made a mistake in leaving him out. I fully expect a player with his qualities and ability to bounce right back.
When it comes to deciding on form/lack of form I find the Welsh management grossly inconsistent.

Now that it's announced Beirne is off to Munster - I'd guess that he'll be in the Irish AI squad and unavailable.

If I was the Southern Kings I'd be targeting my first win against that side!

I don't see it as a big deathly deal re Scott. Its only the AI's not the 6 Nations. He has a good 5 years at the top in him and will play stacks of rugby. Having Scott and his quality with us during AI's is a tremendous fillup as well. Good to see some newer names in there as well with no doubt plenty of injuries to throw in so who knows.

I guess we'll wait and see. It would be a big plus if we had him. Pack looks ok. Outside backs are thin on the ground. Maybe we should thrown Conbeer in to see what he can do?

Not really. He is an excellent player
