Dont like the residency rule but it is what it is and delighted for Hadleigh.  If anyone deserves it it's him.  A true credit to the Scarlets, even learnt Mae Hen Wlad Fy'n Nhadau which is more than Gatland has ever done,   Well deserved MoM but no surprise to any of us ...

Well, TBF he has learnt 'Hen wlad fy nhadau'!

A superb debut, especially the really difficult pick up for that try.

Of the other Scarlets, Wyn Jones made two extremely important turnovers; Scott went well; and no-one let the side down. I thought 'Gareth Davies'* was also pretty impressive!

(* This is a reference to the S4C guy who mis-identified Webb as Cawdor on at least 3 separate occasions! A real pro!)

Gatland sang the anthem in full today.

Congratulations to Hadley Parkes on a brilliant debut today. It is a little silly when Webb becomes ineligible from next season because he has chosen to play for Toulon but been part of the regional setup for nearly 10 years, yet Hadley can play after living in Wales for just 3 years.
Like Jiffy said during commentary, he just does the simple things and does them very well. The plus from today’s international was that we didn’t appear to pick up any more unnecessary injuries so should be at near full strength for Benetton next weekend.

Also a very decent and modest man. Huge positive influence on the squad . Robotically good like Barclay. Couple of gem signings.

I have a great deal of admiration for Hadleigh as a player and he's been an asset to the Scarlets undoubtebly. However i don't agree with him playing for Wales. If I went to Australia tomorrow for three years i wouldn't suddenly become Australian. I understand that it's an international rule that makes it possible. That doesn't mean in my eyes we have to follow like sheep though. Gatland doesn't care as he's a kiwi   Parkes will be depriving a home grown Welshman an opportunity to play for his country. He had a great game yesterday of course and I can see why he's selected but I don't agree with it .Anyway thats my view.

Don't agree. 3 yrs is a bit flimsy, but nationality is so personal and full of loop-holes, individual circumstances etc. that I think it is best left to the individual and their conscience.

As long as the decision which country to represent is a final one then I'm happy with it.
We're still still here, but I wish we were in an Anglo-Welsh

I always enjoy reading your posts Wasp and respect your views. However I'll agree to disagree on this subject.
