We've got issues in the back 3. Steff will get at least 3 games and McNicholl looks like he might be out for a while. Not sure whether it was his wrist or shoulder he was holding at the end. Hopefully it's just a stinger to the shoulder.
That 4g pitch puts a premium on good play and pace out wide so we need Nicholas and Prydie/Grabham to step up and perform. |

Having watched the Dragons game, I believe the direct approach will work well against the Blues. Another good forward effort needed, and someone else kick the goals.

We have to think about the next 4 games here I think , with the Bath game ( game 3 in the sequence) the one where we put our best/first choice out.
To me it means the Drags at home wil likely be the game to play, or at least start a few of the boys unlikely to play v Bath. This week coming is going to be tough. The Blues are no mugs at home, and have the tactical advantage of knowing a few things that work well ( or don't work well) on that pitch. I'd go for a strong, young, team, and keep pace and tempo in mind ... The Blues have a heavy, and without wishing to be impolite, aging pack. Keep pulling them about ( as we did to the O's last night in the last 10) and exploit them out wide. Wyn ( now v close to Rob on match impact) Elias ( going with the above theme) Kruger ( carrier and a good head on him) Beirne ( just simply can't rest him) Rawlins ( if fit) Boyde Cubby Macloed ( the paciest back 3 we have, we need to manage Shings) Aled ( best equipped for a fast game in probably wet conditions) Patch Parkes/Scott ( either will play, but not both)..which ever plays will be skip. Asquith ( merited inclusion) *Ioan Nicholas ( exciting option) *Grabham ( personal choice would be Conbeer, but he has a couple of guys ahead of him) Halfpenny ( will be hurting and will want to out that right against his old team.) Bench Rob Evs Ken Ows Simon Gardiner Dai Bulbring John Barclay Tom Prydie Gareth Davies Steff Hughes * assumes injury/suspension. Edited by Wil Chips - 27 December 2017 at 7:07am |

We need to rest Kruger and Bullbring would give them two weeks off keep them fresh for Bath they gave played lots of rugby and have been immense for us this season.
Gardiner can start against Blues now is the time for him to step up and start games hoping Samson be fit soon and hopefully he can start against Drags. With Stef out and Johnny doubtful we need to blood one of the young wings in next two weeks. Looking bit bare for Bath out wide at moment especially if Johnny is injured. |

She asks why i still can't answer. I guess its in the blood.
