What a special group we have. So proud of all the Scarlet boys today. I was concerned we’d revert back to the boring Warrenball style, but this looked like a seamless transition from Scarlets to Wales!!
Gutted for Wyn, looked like he scored but TMO unsighted. What a finish from steff👍🏻 |

There was a forward pass from Hadleigh to Seff but Wyn Jones scored a perfectly good try but had it disallowed. So no problem.

Steff needs to hold his depth a little better. That's not the first time a pass to him has 'looked' forward. The pass from JB to Steff at the RDS in last season's SF and from Foxy to him in the final were close to forward. Refs will start to pick up on this especially now after today's try. Brilliant finish by him though.

Thing is he only just got there so if he'd have held his depth more they might have tackled him into touch. Players run fairly flat alot these days and no reason for that pass to have been forward to him

Navidi was excellent and am happy for him and would welcome him as a Scarlet such is the esteem I hold him in . Hill surprisingly good today. Scarlets boys to a man superb Shingler deservedly MOM Gatland see what you been missing. Josh Adams very good debut get the check book out Scarlets reinforced better money spent over North.
Good game overall ref had he made those decisions all game would have been close to a top performance for me. Ireland vFrance bit narrow and boring and of course the ref is centre stage😞 Wales on this match have nothing to fear |

The point is that he should not have made the line. Quite simply he'd over run Parkes and the pass was forward. Try wrongly awarded today. Next time a flat pass may be judged forward. |

Personally I thought it was more Hadleigh who delayed the pass too much forcing the forward pass. |

The player that surprised me was Corey Hill - he was outstanding

Scott Williams was huge running the defence, he didn't get much of a mention. He was everywhere, especially 1st half when Scotland could have a lot of go forward. Instead the went from side to side as there was nowhere for them to go in midfield. He's settled nicely into the 13 role.

I think Biggar not being there has had the biggest impact, as good as his kick chase is you’ll never beat the top side with a 10 lying so deep taking the ball. I thought Patchell made a massive difference to the way Wales attacked yesterday Edited by trinity60 - 04 February 2018 at 9:07am |

I 100% agree, Patchell was awesome. The man has phenomenal talent, he can even kick brilliantly off both feet? That makes him almost impossible to mark. He is infinitely more dangerous at 10 , he has pace physicality vision, lovely passer , can hoof it miles....He ticks every box twice. I just cant believe they havent given him a go until now? absolutely ridiculous

If Biggar or Priestland had been fit they would have played - no doubt about it. Surely tho even Gats/Howley are not that stupid to change things when they have stumbled on a winning formula??????
