The fullback, Clayton Blommetjies, who was named as the man of the match for his performance against the Dragons in Newport on Friday night in the Guinness Pro14, has been linked with a move to the current champions, Scarlets.

He has also been linked with a possible move to the Exeter Chiefs in England, however, the Cheetahs are trying to retain the player’s services.

Is the limit the number of players on the books or the number on the field?

NWQ limit isn't set in stone. It's flexible

Am I right in thinking the NWQ will be from next season Blade Thompson, Michael Wells, Kieran Fonotia, Werner Kruger and Uzair Cassiem

And the players who can quality on residency Johnny McNicoll, David Bulbring, Steve Cummins, Paul Asquith. And of course Hadleigh Parkes is now Welsh!

I thought that Asquith couldn't qualify as he's played 7's for Australia.

Asquith his NWQ as he as played for Austrailia 7s,while Wells would be a time server I think

So it's not really a limit?
Who decides if we have passed this non-existent limit?
Is it the same people who decide how many Scarlet players Wales can take away from us for prolonged International periods?

word on the web is that there will be new RSA in place this Summer. I believe NWQ limits will be more elastic, probably in relation to the number of Wales players provided

Thought Wells had played Aussie Sevens so would be NWQ, too. Could be wrong.
