we are allowed 6 NWQs PLUS 2 Time servers.
NWQ: 1. Werner Kruger 2. Kieran Finotia 3. Uzair Cassiem 4. Paul Asquith 5. Blade Thomson Time Servers: 1. Steve Cummins 2. Johnny McNicholl David Bullbring is WQ from the autumn. I’m no longer convinced Michael Wells is coming due to the swift move for Cassiem. |

Easiest way to find out is probably to run the highlights reel on p1 of this thread! Very impressive - not sure we need another 15, though... unless Mcnicholl becomes 'Welsh' soon and gets the call-up.

This season has shown that we really need another back 3 player. There's not much depth in the position.
Particularly as two of our starters are Welsh squad members. |

And let’s not forget Pivac “had other options” should the north deal not happen. Cross fingers on this one.

I would 100% prefer Blommetjies over North.
He seems much more of an intelligent attacker than George and isn't a one trick pony when it comes to running at defences. He covers more than 1 position, is available all year round and would have a considerably lower wage. It's a pretty good predicament to be in though. We're blessed to be able to have so many great players wanting to join the club. (If rumors are true, of course) |

Would he? Remember we would only be funding 40% of Norths salary. |

Blommetjies is seriously quick and covers wing as well FB I think. He has to be better all round value than George considering his year round availability.

Is Bulbring WQ this year? I thought they extended the length of time to 4 years? I could be wrong though! How long has he been here?

That's the main point really. George is still the better player but we would face losing Halfpenny, George, McNichol and possibly Steff all at the same time. On top of Hadleigh, Foxy, Cawdor and Patchell.

blade I don't think will be a time server as he qualifies for Scotland if they want him which I am sure they will. cant see him waiting for wales for the extended period now for time servers

Scarlets have done very well in the past by promoting young, up-and-coming players, and we have quite a few... I'm not keen to sign too many players who may block the local talent coming through.... Clayton looks like a class act, though, so I'm in two minds, really. It all depends on whether the coaches think our youngsters are too inexperienced to step up, or are maybe not quite up to standard. Conbeer, at least, looks very promising though, and he's not the only one.
