Wish the club still did their weekly injury updates.
Unfortunately for Tom Phillips has all the attributes and attitude to make a name for himself but can’t get a decent injury free run. Same for Shaun Evans.

Foxy for me seems to be one of those players who needs a game or two before he is at his best. So I am not sure I would risk him.

"Jake has had a week off from his rehab, he has been going really hard, he is in fantastic shape," said Pivac. "The surgery side of things has gone well. It has plateaued a little bit, hence the delay, but he is being checked again this week with the WRU staff as well as our staff as a national dual contracted player. He is going through more testing.

"He has weakened one area of the shoulder and we need to get that up to a certain strength level before he is save to return to play. Hopefully that is sooner rather than later but we haven't been given a finishing line on that one. Jake is targeting the semi and we would love him to be there, but he has got to be cleared medically before we will entertain that."

Damn. And the fact that he didn't get selected for the Wales tour, with Charteris picked, reinforced that.

In an odd way, I'm not too unhappy about this. Summer off & he can come back to preseason all guns blazing. He is going to be a very important player for us next season.

Muck better for Jake to be 100%, and to have a pre-season, than to go on the tour.

It’s taking him a long time to come back from this worryingly.

He will be. Yet the season after, in other words 2019 Aug-Nov, we will see precious little of him and the other 15+ players we supply to the Welsh (and other countries') RWC teams.

Rob, Wyn,  Samson, Jake, Shings, Cubby Boi, Blade, Cawdor, SHK, Patch, Hadleigh, JD, Steff, Prydie and HP. With possibly Rawlins, Ryan, Boyde and MacLeod in the wings too.

Not unexpected and pleased to see he’s not being rushed back. The squad has has done very well this season but can’t wait to see Jake, Foxy and Johnny Mac firing next season

Yep as is Cummins

15 Clayton

10 Dinky
9 Jonny
8 McLeod
7 Boyde
6 Cassiem

2 Elias
1 Price

16 Gardiner
17 Dylan
18 Price
19 Rawlins
20 Tom Phillips

Although there is more than a 50/50 chance Cubby boi will not make the squad with Warbs, Tips, Navidi, Shingler, Ellis and Moriarty ahead of him in teh 6/7 berth.

Also, how is Tom Phillips progressing?

Hidalgo clyne will be pushing hard for a starting spot also. Its a strong looking international window team. One i think will compete with any in the league.

Hidalgo-Clyne in all probability will feature for Scotland as indeed could Blade.
