If you add to that Prydie, Cubby, Blade and SHC who may or may not be selected in their respective international squads then it looks pretty awesome. Got a feeling we may be without Elias though which leaves us very short on hooker cover. Probably the one position in the squad we could do with an extra body.

Also think back row will be 6. Rawlins 7. Mcloed/Boyde 8. Cassiem

The fly in the ointment might be that the SARFU have announced that Erasmus is free to select any overseas players between now and the world cup, where as previously they could only select players with over 30 caps. He has gone on record as saying he wants to look at a wide range of players between now and then. And with South African rugby becoming more intertwined with the Pro14, Plus Erasmus' knowledge of the league I wouldn't be surprised if we lost Cassiem certainly for the Autumn internationals and if he shows good form and improves certain areas of his game as we expect him to, Clayton.

Clayton isn’t in Springboks contention

Wasn't in contention under the last coach. This one you don't know, but your probably right especially as they can now pick Le Roux again. Having said that he might see his versatility as a useful asset for a world cup.

All due respect to Clayton he’s not on the level of those ahead of him like Leyds, Le Roux, Pietersen, Aplon, Engelbrecht etc
