I'd like to see us pick up an athletic carrying second row/6, especially now that Shingler is missing the start of the season.
Francesco Minto (Benetton) is out of contract. Good idea for a short term deal?

Blade is meant to fill that role - do you mean an additional player.?

Yes, Minto is still out of contract and maybe he can do a downgrade in italiano domestico League...he suffered a neck injury some years ago and never back the talented player all we know. He is 31, not so young but anche other season at good level ne Can do...sign him with Sarto on the Wing

I think Josh will have a break through season, seen him in Haverfordwest a week or so ago, filling out nicely. Hard to imagine he's only 21, seems like he's been around for ages! |

Blade looks a quality player but does play in the wider channels more. is he our answer for a more physical 8 who can play closer or is is cassiem? will be interesting to see how we play. we do need an option to go forward close to contact area and not all our players out in the wide channels

I think Cassiem will probably play more at 8 (ostensibly replacing Barclay) while Thomson is the replacement for Beirne (will cover the back 5 of the pack)... both have big boots to fill.

Very big boots to fill indeed. Casseim is the close carrying 8 we have been looking for for the past few years & Blade will initially play 6 I think with Aaron out until Xmas. I have very high hopes for McLoud to kick on again this season. He is still a very young man and has all the physical attributes to become Faletau's deputy in a couple of years.

I think josh needs to bulk a little bit still. Cassiem is the 8 with Thompson a good second option but sure he'll be the 6 for time being.
