Campanile is next to the SSEC/Hydro, down by the Clyde. Woodlands Rd (Old Schoolhouse and Finsbay) are a bit of a walk away, but you are in walking distance of Finnieston area which has become the area of choice and gone through a bit of an improvement in recent years. Good bars and restaurants a plenty.

I suspect in part/main it's because they were very confident at least one of their teams would get to the final and therefore they would get good crowd and not lose out (having paid so much to hold it). If it was at Murryfield and it was Leinster v us then SRU might think it'd only get 30k (& less if one in the Euro final) and that might not be enough to make it worth it. Ditto WRU if no Welsh team in it.

You have to guarantee a minimum financial payout to the P14 (which let's face it means to the P14 teams so we can't argue with the logic)
Dublin are confident they can sell enough seats to make a profit. I believe no other union made a bid.
We're still still here, but I wish we were in an Anglo-Welsh
