Pity - no doubt, if we win the semi, he'll be out for the final as well.

Not so sure on that, Pivac said in his press conference "Leigh has a small tear there so with any luck, should we get through the semi-final then he may be available for the final."

So fingers crossed...

In the mean time I assume our back three will be McNicholl, Steff & Prydie.

Hope we don't go with patch at 15 we really need him at 10. Prydie at 15 would be far more of an attacking threat. Going with Dan at 10 certainly limits our attacking play imo.

The 3 games have dubious set-ups frankly

He is very good going forward but defensively he's all over the place. I don't see us deviating much from what worked a few weeks ago. Attack their scrum and lineout with hard driving play. Good linespeed caused their 9/10/& 12 to make all sorts of mistakes which we cannot surely expect again.

Rhys at 10 and Jonny at 15 for me. I fancy our midfield and back 3 to have an edge provided, of course, our front 5 turn up!!!!!

Its a blow without Leigh, but agree Rhys to start at 10. Dan Bench. Johnny Mac if passed the required tests to come back at 15. Tom & Steff wings.

If our pack turn up, big scrum and lineout as we saw in recent win at PYS.

I read that but 11 days to repair a small muscle tear is still very very quick. Ouch

They have attacking threats all over the place - Finn Russell, Huw Jones, DTH, Hogg without mentioning Seymour and Dunbar. It will be hell of a game and desperately disappointing if we lose.

Got to say if Jonny McN is fit and firing i love the pace of our back three. And theirs to be honest!

Patch 10 Russell
Steff 11 DTH VDM
Parkes 12 Dunbar
Scott 13 H. Jones
Prydie 14 Seymour
McNicholl 15 Hogg

Does anyone have any doubts about Patchell's kicking vs Dan J?

Not really, in Pro 14 terms he has 17 out of 23 compared to Dan who has 31 from 37.

The trouble with goalkicking success rates is that they don't differentiate between straight in front, 50 metres out, wide out kicks, weather conditions, wind conditions, importance of the kick etc. So pretty meaningless really.
Keep the faith
