Aaron has torn his ACL and us out until at least Christmas according to his Twitter account. Really bad luck. Hope the recovery goes well.

Very bad luck, indeed - just when he'd resurrected his test career. We look forward to his return at the business end of the season, though - Johnny showed how returning players can make a difference this season.

Oh dear! Get well soon. We will miss him a lot and what is often missed it how great he is at the line out - we could have done with him in the second half of the final so we had a realistic option of competing on their 5 metre throws.

Really bad luck for Aaron but 5-6 months of recovery and missing the Autumn internationals may be no bad thing. It looks to me as if Blade would make a pretty mobile 6 in the Shingler mode and we have also signed Ed Kennedy and Matthew Davies who, I think, have also played there. MacLeod and Ellis-Jones are other possibilities so it shouldn't be disastrous.

I think this could well help prime Shingler for the RWC next year as he will have a good recovery.

I personally don’t care about the World Cup. I just hope he’s ok for us. World Cup year will affect us massively.

Blade is surely the obvious choice with Casseim at 8 and Boyde, McLoud & Rawlins as bench cover choices.

Yes I forgot about Kennedy. He has a decent pedigree & physique. Asking a lot for him to be up to speed to play in Aaron's position ahead of Blade, Rawlins & McLoud.
