I note Jon had a operation, anyone know what the injury was as it seems to have escaped our postings?

FWIW, it was stated to be a foot injury by the Scarlets on their official website... so it's probably the foot!

Worse than Western Mail. How does a shoulder injury cause you to limp off the field ?
Have been told it's definitely a foot injury, he has had an op and expecting around 6 months on the sidelines

Good job he didn't open his mouth and put his foot in it as he went off, otherwise he'd be having a tooth out !

Lovely replies and exactly why I asked, it seemed to vary depending who/where I asked. Another one out for 6 months, bad run of luck lately.

The six month bit is critical. With SHC seemingly in favour with Mr Townsend, Cawdor no 1 in Wales, we are already short of scrum halves in the autumn international period.

Kieran Hardy and Dec Smith would be the 2 available I guess.

He has damaged his Lisfranc Ligament in his foot, for which he has had surgey. The Lisfranc ligament is one of several ligaments which connects medial cuneiform to the second metatarsal. This connection maintains proper alignment between the metatarsal and the tarsal bones. He wont make the start of the season, for sure
