He realises that he will get his chance early to make a statement with Hadleigh probably missing the first few games. Realistically we are going to be fielding a pretty strong 23 for the first few games with Ball, Foxy back to fitness. I know its early but here could be the team for Ulster :-

15. Clayton 14. Jonny 13. Foxy 12. Fonotia 11. Steff 10. Dan 9. Hidalgo-Clyne 8. Casseim 7. Boyde 6. McLoud 5. Cummins 4. Ball 3. Samson 2. Ken 1. Wyn.

16. Daf Hughes 17. Price 18. Werne 19. Rawlins 20. Blade 21. Hardy 22. O'Brien 23. Asquith

I would imagine our Welsh Internationals that toured in the Summer would be available if fit for Ulster .

I'm not sure they have reported back for pre-season yet.

Don't think the Irish internationals will be available for selection for first 2 weeks of the season, so a good opportunity to go hard on the 'B' of the 'BANG'! Approve

I don't see why Leigh Halfpenny wouldn't be available given he missed the summer tour.
I still wake up late at night and think of what might have been when tim stimpson hit that jammy penalty1

with the hurricanes doing well, don't think blade Thomson will play for a few games.

That's a quality team with a good mix of the new faces to get integrated. And even the engine room of Cummins and Ball is a new combo. Do we know that Wyn, Asquith and even Samson are going to be fit?

I think if we're lucky we might get Blade bedded in time for RCC group games
We're still still here, but I wish we were in an Anglo-Welsh

I would probably take that, it looks like 3 of our first 4 games are against Irish opposition, who will be weakened by their agreement with the IRU and we will have a second and backrow of a fresh and fit Jake Ball with Cummins, Bullbring, Rawlings, Cassiem Boyde and Macloed. So I don’t feel the need to rush Blade into the team even if the hurricanes get knocked out this or next weekend. We could probably afford to give him a rest, to freshen him up ready for Europe.

Rawlins would cover 6 very nicely. Also Tom Phillips - not sure on his fitness status though

Bloody hell of course rawlins how did I forget him. Yep more than qualified for 6 class player. Shings brings a lot to the lineout game. We were using bulbring a fair bit as a jumper also stick Cummings up as he's a bit of a giant anyway lol.
