Clearly very player is important and we would benefit from choosing from a full squad. However, with the recruitment last season I feel that we are now in a much better position to deal with injuries.
WP's recruitment strategy seems to have been very well thought out. Looking forward to hearing what he and the others will have to say at the Meet the Coaches on 28/8.

gutted for McNichol, hope he can come back soon to play..
this year we have a really deep roster with many solutions for every role..I think we paid debts with bad luck in last years...

Asquith, Steff Evs, Jake, Foxy...all need to play a biggish part next week...asking a lot of them to go straight in to the first league game without that.
Depth looks decent of course, just a few guys who have had recent injuries/long lay offs, tend to need a couple of games or more to truly hit their straps. |

Reading between the lines Wil I think next week is a bit early for Asquith - the rest I think will play.

Where was this reported? Are the club doing injury updates again?

CRYS16 are meeting with the Scarlets shortly and this is an issue that we will be taking up with them. We would like to see an addition to the website, called e.g. 'the physio room' where the Club can provide updates on the nature of injuries, and the progress that injured players are making. The only issue might be that players may not want their detailed medical issues being discussed openly. They, like the rest of us have a right of privacy with regard to their medical records. We will update on progress when we have more information.

Yes I agree his versatility is very useful. Don't think he will be long before in full training.

My only concern with having a tab on the website with details about players availability is if that gives the opposition an upper hand knowing full well a week in advance who they will likely to face them.
I'd be happy with an update from Pivac and the board every so often with details about players and their fitness.

Fair point, but not everyone has a Twitter account.

Rob Lloyd's report on WOL after the Bristol game. I like Pivacs comment about Blooming cheese. "You talk about a glass half-full guy and a glass half-empty guy, his is a champagne bottle which you thrash around in the boot of the car for a couple of weeks and then let the top off, that’s Clayton." |
