This could’ve gone in the Brexit Bonus thread but really deserves a wider audience.

The right winger for Rugby Club Vannes in their home match v Stade Montois goes by the unbelievably excellent name of

Faraj FARTASS

The capitals symbolise the surname.

All very harsh folks. He was good enough for Gatland to employ for over 10 years and is clearly a very experienced coach as well as being a top player for club and his country Wales. Personally I applaud the more Welsh coaches we have in the game and wish him well. He has a difficult job on his hands with Italy as all coaches have found it difficult there and they can only play with the player base they have to work with.

He has acted as interim Wales coach and didn’t we win the 6 Nations with him in charge and also defeated England in ‘that ‘ game! So I think let’s give the guy a break and wish him the best of luck in the new challenge. He will certainly need it in trying to improve Italy !!🤔

In Italy is not a coach problem, but a bad federal management, not professional and interested only in persolan interests...I dont like O Shea as coach, but for me he is a great DoR and surely the best profile for italian job. He had not hands free for make all improvements that Italian rugby needs...we are a tier 2 team who have the lucky to be in 6N's and have all the money it produce.
Italian clubs and rugby people dont understand the problematic of our rugby, we lack of global vision, we watch only in our little field and often happened of presidents who sold their vote for some balls, or some impossible promise to realize....

Thanks for the insight Mr Ian, it must be very frustrating being an Italy supporter with all that internal politics! 🤨

Poor guy, I'd be so embarrassed if part of my name sounded like Farage.

DRAGONS

Dean Ryan is employing some unusual training tactics ahead of the new season to get the most out of new fly-half recruit Sam Davies.

We have worked a lot in training with boys around me stepping up as well. Dean has picked up on that and we are running a game now where it's not all going through the 10.

We are running sessions where I am not allowed to talk, we are running sessions where I am not allowed to kick. What that does is make players around me think 'I've actually got to help Sam out here' and that is what has made it enjoyable – I've not had everything thrown on my shoulders.

I know there are a lot of people that say the Dragons have needed a 10, but it's not just the 10, there are people around that help him. That is what I am getting in training at the Dragons; there are boys that get challenged to help me out, which will benefit me as well.
____

I was probably a bit sceptical of the move at first because I was going from a so-called bigger team in Wales to a lower team in Wales. But since I arrived I have been extremely impressed with the skill levels, the physicality that we have offered and there is a good squad here.
____

I probably had a lack of freedom in my game, which is something that Dean is going to allow me to have, not just me but the group.

Cheetahs superb tonight 7 tries brilliant to watch, a different Squad from last term with this group winning the Currie Cup Champions!

Ulster very impressive tonight, Ospreys lost Corey Allen and James King to serious injuries also .

This pro 14 season is going to pretty tough for the teams like us who have so many in Japan. Ulster, Connacht, Blues & Dragons along with the South African teams will certainly have a head start. We all know how strong Leinster's back up is but we are about to find out a lot about the others.
